Although Raven handled the visit well, and she interacted with my grandmother better than anyone I had ever introduced to her, I could tell that something was bothering her. So much had been said, and a lot had happened at the hospital. Caitlyn, my mother, and the things my grandmother said about me not bringing her home. Indeed, my grandmother was right, but that was before I got to know her. I just needed time to get myself out of the mess my mother's family were likely to create. The last thing I wanted to do was tell Raven about my uncle, the Mascots and the Bratva. I was sure she would run. I needed time. I just wanted to wait a little longer, but it seemed like time was running out. Something had shifted in Raven at the hospital, and I could feel it.
