Morgan's POV:
"Mommy! Cole is being mean to me again!" Miranda's scream rang out through the park, so loud that a few parents and even kids paused what they were doing and turned to face her.
I blinked out of the fog that gathered in my head. I didn't realize I had been lost in my thoughts till I heard Miranda scream "Cole, please be nice to your sister."
"She's not my sister." Cole said and folded his arms, a smug look on his face. "If she were actually my sister, she'll have no problem with us playing together!"
I glanced at Miranda. She had her face smothered in custard pie, clunks of it dripping down her chin. I sighed softly and got up from the blanket I sat on.
"Don't say things like that." I said to Cole, a stern look on my face.
