Chapter Fourteen At some point, we did finally make it to the bedroom, although by then I was ready to merely sleep in his arms, nothing more. I’d never slept with anyone — really “slept” — before Raphael, and I was a little surprised by how much I enjoyed being there with him, of waking up to see his heavy dark hair rumpled and the taut lines of worry smoothed away by sleep.
