“Goodnight,” I said, kissing my mom and dad for the evening as I retreated back to my room.
Finishing with a shower, I got dressed in my shorts and T-shirt. Brushing my hair, I placed the brush down onto the vanity and switched off the light as I crawled into my bed.
I felt a little restless, thinking about Marcus because I haven’t heard back from him this evening.
Taking my phone from the night side table, once again I checked for any message, but there was none.
Feeling a little down because of it, I decided to send him a text so I wrote it and sent it, waiting for a few more minutes for any sign of his reply.
