I stood aside, eyes wide, watching in pure fear as two wolves were fought against Marcus. It was a brutal sight to watch, but I was too afraid to close my eyes. The sounds coming from them tore at my heart. I was worried they would hurt him, but he was fast and strong and magnificent.
I checked on Mandy and Lizzy and saw that Mandy was wrapped in a tight hold, securely hiding her face in the chest of none other than my brother James. He was kissing the top of her head and trying to soothe her. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, and I saw her tear-stained face looking up towards him.
