Damon held my hand as he led me through the forest, refusing to let me know where exactly we were going.
He laughed every time I would ask him where he was taking me, and I couldn’t deny that his cheerful attitude and laughter was contagious. It was fun acting like two little kids who were hiding a secret and about to do something they weren’t supposed to.
When we finally came to a stop, I saw a meadow covered with tall grass swaying in the gentle breeze.
I couldn’t see clearly since it was dark, but I could just imagine how it looked during the day, covered in wildflowers and butterflies.
I heard a noise from a little ways away, and I saw two wild rabbits playing in the grass. At the other end of the meadow, where the forest started, a little family of deer came to feast
