Chapter 3

Early morning most of the students were preparing for the first day at the academy, meanwhile, Deis was standing on the top of some mountain looking at the gravestone where his mother was buried.

"It has  been ten thousand years, and I still don't know what to say I am still here alive cursed to walk this earth for eternity."

He shed few tears then put flowers on the grave and disappear. Meanwhile, " Great I am going to be late on the first day, why did I oversleep."

She was just about to enter the main gate when she hit Deis felt on the ground." Ouch, ouch ouch, I am deeply sorry sir I didn't see you." But when she gets up no one was there.

"Oh, I am still late." End she start to run again class was about to start and Eritrea makes in time.

" I barely made it, but I wonder who was that guy I bumped, let's see he had black clothes and black hair, but there are many guys who have black hair and clothes."

She wanted to ask Helena did anyone entered the classroom, few minutes before her, but the voice interrupted her.

"Welcome students my name is Alphonse Withomore, I will be teaching you the history of magic and how to perform magical spells, as you may notice that here besides the first year refreshments with us are seniors students, and miss Stella will explain to you why."

A girl with long black hair and red eyes entered the room, "Hello everyone for those who don't know me I am Stella Rath, the student council president. first I welcome you all, I hope you will have a great time at the academy.

As professor Withmore said, today we all are here for introducing class so that new students may introduce themselves, so who will start.?" and she smiled.

A guy with black hair and blue eyes stands up first, " My name is Dzin Rath." and that's all he said, and there is no need to tell more everyone knows who Dzin Rath, Stella's younger brother and air to the throne of Azarath.

The next was Eritrea when she gets up all the other students were looking at her, her long brown hair, and bright brown eyes draw even Deis's attention.  

" Ma name is Eritrea Dragonestas its an honor to be here." For the next half hour, first years students were introducing themselves until only Deis remain. 

"My name is Deis Evona." "Evona you say, very unusual name, where are you from mister Evona?"

 Deis looked into the professor, with his silver eyes, " Arios", " Arios as warlock lord of Arios from children story."

"Exactly." Everyone laughed and the gossip started immediately, boys were surprised that Dzon was beaten by a weirdo like him, girls were whispering about how handsome he is. 

"Quite everyone there is nothing to laugh about there is a forest called Arios at a north very beautiful place,

well, mister Evona if you don't have anything to say we can start with the first lesson."

"Today's lesson will be about defense magic we will start with barrier spells.

Can anyone tell me the oldest barrier spell?"

Deis raised his hand. " Yes, mister Evona." "That would be a shield of Castros if I recall correctly."

"That's correct, now if any one of the older  white uniform students would like to demonstrate?" Deis raised his hand again.

"Sorry mister Evona but older students, there is no way that someone from freshments could do such a complex spell."

"Why don't you give him a chance professor?" "Very well, if you insist miss Rath how could I said no come here Deis."

Deis get up he was walking toward the professor he was calm, gossip starts again, " is he really that full of himself he thinks that he can actually create Shield of Castros just because he knows its name."

"Easy Tony he may be dumb or wants to embarrass himself, what do you think Roy."

" I can't say for sure Helena told me that he used Ethes Spiralus when he defeated Dzon so it is possible."

"I guess we will see now." Deis was standing in front of everyone, he looked at the crowd, it was like they were waiting for his failure." 

"If you need little time to prepare after all this is the very complicated spell." 

" No need." Deis just snapped his fingers and a shield appeared. " But how, he didn't even use the chant who is he? Helena wondered. 

"So if this something that royalties need a whole semester to learn then perhaps they are not that good or is that you are a bad professor."

"Are you implying something mister Evona?" " I am trying to say that you specifically ask for someone in white uniform, which implies that you don't trust that someone in black uniform can't do it."

"Do you think  that you are better than us?" "I am not thinking, I am better, Helena" He looked at her with his silver eyes. 

"Strong  argument but can you prove it." " Any time princess." "How about now, to be fair you can choose the type of duel." 

"If you want it to be for why don't the professor choose then." Professor Withmore looked first at Helena then Deis, both of them were confident that they will win, when he saw that he can't stop this duel he agreed.

"Okay then fifteen minutes in coast arena, the challenge will be summoning the mythical creatures, the winner is the person who summons rarer creatures, do the rules satisfied both sides?"

"Fine by me I am going to win anyway, does the princess has something to say?" 

" No compliment professor." "Very well then we will see you both in fifteen minutes."

Everyone went to the arena, only Deis remain in the classroom he was thinking about what mythical creature should he summon. 

Eritrea: You really are something, first day and you challenge my sister to a magical duel. 

"So you are the second ." " please call me Eritrea." " you think that I can't beat your sister, why is that?"

"You see, I know that you defeated Dzon, but my sister is on a different level, and you can be sure that this challenge is not fair, I mean summoning mythical  creatures,  everyone knows that Helena can summon a dragon prince and the only way for you to win is to summon dragon king or one of the two oldest creature in existence ."

Deis was just about to tell something when Helena appeared right in front of him, Eritrea felt from the table, 

" Common sis you scared the crap out of me" " Watch your language you are a princess" " Yes yes I know but no one is here now. " An astral spirit ha, is any reason why you are approaching me just before our match don't tell me you are scared."

"You wish, I just want to make things more interesting, a bet if you are up to." "I am listening."

"If I win you will tell  the headmaster that you cheated on the exam and leave this academy."

"So that what's this about, young love." "What are you talking about?"

"Do not deny it even I can tell, why would I accept the bet like that one, especially because I won the battle fair and square."

Helena tried to tell something, but Deis interrupted her."Fine."

"Wait Deis are you sure?" "Quiet Eritrea" Deis take one paper then cut his hand with magic and spelled little blood on it. "Vinertios, here blood pact If you win I will do as you want, but if I win you will owe me a favor anything I ask without discussion are you in, gate ."

Pact appeared in front of Helena in the corridor, and she spelled her blood, and the pact was concluded.

  "Shall we go, gate?" " Good luck Deis you will need it."

"I remind you both that the objective of this challenge is to summon mythical creatures not fight, If both sides understand that you can start whenever you like."

"Understood, common Helena show me what can you do." "You will pay your arrogance"

Helena creates a magical circle, and she releases an enormous amount of magical energy, "come forth Dragren!" 

A huge gold dragon appeared. Even the professor was amazed by the sight, golden dragons are among the rarest."

"Not bad at all, so this is dragon prince this means then that Gladius has become king." Dragren looked upon Deis. 

"Now it's my turn." Deis snapped with his fingers and a magical circle appeared, something, "come forth", the energy that was released made even Gragren step back.

When the dust-settled green dragon with black eyes in grey armor was standing there, Helena looked at him but she couldn't believe her eyes Garlond, knight commander of dragon army. 

Garlond: Who dares to summon me? When he spotted Deis he couldn't believe his dragon eyes."Mas"Deis eyes start to glow and Garlond could read his thoughts.

"Don't call me master in front of these children, pretend that you don't know who I am." and Garlond obeyed immediately. 

"How? who are you? "Tell me do you feel lucky this isn't a fighting match."

Professor: truly magnificent, well I would say that is a tie."A tie holds that thought, Ester Akron Fentamas."

Enormous blue circles appear beneath the sea. "Awaken from your slumber, o mighty triceratops.

"Rarrrrrrrrrrr," "What is that, I don't believe my eyes." Dinosaur so huge raise from the sea his roar would have ruined the whole city if it wasn't for the barrier. 

Professor Withmore couldn't believe his eyes, "Sea triceratops largest of all mythical creatures, and perhaps the most powerful one, no one was able to summon this legendary beast in thousands of years and what more he summoned two rare creature and is still standing as nothing happened.,

Just who are you Deis Evona?"

" I think you that victory is mine unless you want to continue?" Helena couldn't say a single word, she still was in shock, Even if she could manage to summon the dragon king she would still lose.

"I give up." " Winner Deis Evona." Deis snaps his fingers and he and the creatures he summoned were gone.

"That's all for today students you can go home now. 

(Somewhere far away) "I still don't believe that you are alive master Deis it's been ten thousand years."

"Yeah time flowers doesn't it, so you are still the knight commander of dragons, I can see and Gladius  finally became dragon king." 

"A lot happened since you disappeared, many wars, and pointless battles, the world couldn't even evolve properly."

"So is that younger princess the first person with whom you made a pact in the last ten thousand years?"

"Yes, but as you probably could see our pact isn't completed yet."

"I am glad to see you old friend, you are probably the only person who knows who I am, and U have one question, what happened to Arios, to people to the kingdom? "

"I feard that you are gonna ask me about it, after you disappeared we all thought that you are dead, two months later, Perg, invited all dragon elders and knights, he said that lord Vessel wants to attack  Arios,

he said that people were possed by demons and that they are a threat. I didn't believe o course, but when I tried to stay out of it he used his authority as king to compel me, and because our pact and bond were broken I couldn't resist.

The order was to kill any human, woman children, without mercy, to make them suffer, he still had grudge against you so he wanted to make your people suffer.

At first morning light, we were supposed to attack but went earlier using the passage you crated and I" his voice was trembling, "I obliterated every last one of them in instant after that."

 "You burned the symbol of Arios from your chest so that you get that scar, you tried to rip your heart out."

Garlond eyes were full of tears, it is a sad view when the dragon cry. "I expect my punishment."

Deis was quiet for a while, then his eyes start glowing he raised his hand toward garland and a white circle appear around Garlond's scar. 

Garlond closed his eyes, and he was ready to face death, "I am very happy that you are alive."

"Via Veneris" And just like that Garlond scar dissaperd. "But master I don't understand, why?"

"I of all people don't have any right to judge anyone especially you, it is not your fault Arios was destroyed it is mine.

I am very grateful to you that you gave them a painless death." Deis shed few tears, and then he severs his bond with Garlond. 

"She couldn't complete the pact because our bond wasn't completely broken, but know it is.

After all, I am nothing but a relic from the past, you should go now, that prince will probably want some answers, we will stay in contact old friend.

"Be free to summon me anytime you like Deis." Garland then disappeared.

(Meanwhile in the arena) "Are you ok sis" "You saw it to didn't you, he manage to summon Garlond and sea triceratops at the same time." 

"Yep he is strong  magus maybe even stronger than our brother, but you should look at  the good side."

"Good side, what can possibly be good in fact that I lost?" " You can now focus on surpassing him, and use him as a motivator to become stronger, common sis isn't your dream to become the greatest mage in the world.

Are you going to give up after one defeat?"You are right, thank you Eritrea." Helena hugged her.

"Of course sis, can we now go home, and tomorrow we will deal with this mystery called Deis Evona."

Meanwhile in f*******n mountain, in Deis's tomb," Huh this should do the job, Ekronim." The gate in front of him opened, only sorrow and shadow were coming from them, Deis walked true and discard into shadows and the gate closed behind him.
