Third person's POV The final buzzer cut through the rink, sharp and decisive, and for a split second everything seemed to hang in place before the arena erupted. The sound hit all at once, loud enough to feel in his chest, the kind of noise that didn’t just surround him but pushed into him, adrenaline already surging harder as the reality of it settled in. They had won. George didn’t stop moving right away. His skates carved a slow arc across the ice as his breathing stayed heavy, his pulse still racing from the last few seconds of play.
