When they arrived at the B&B the next morning, things were in a state of controlled chaos as Norene fixed breakfast for the guests, with Roger’s help. Bill and Erik immediately pitched in with that, and later cleared the tables and did the dishes while Norene began preparations for Thanksgiving dinner, with Carol and Tom’s able assistance.
Therefore it wasn’t until close to noon, when they began setting the tables, that Carol turned to ask Bill something and noticed the ring. Her eyes opened wide as she took his hand. “Is this what I think it is?”
