*Carlisle's p.o.v.*
It wasn't my intention to bring Melanie over to my house since it was the day my wife was returning from her two day business trip and we would be spending some quality time together. Melanie insisted that she wanted to see the place that I call my home because she wanted to be in the place where I was present since returning from the states. I wasn't really expecting Noel to come back until seven tonight so I didn't refuse. Melanie was my most precious person ever since we were children and I have had a special connection with her since the passing of my mother. I didn't expect her to have intimate feelings towards me. But to me she was like a sister.
"Oooh Noo!", I heard Melanie screaming. She was mentally unstable after the accident that claimed the lives of both our moms. I ran towards her voice and saw her in the living room. She was holding a picture of Noel and I on our wedding day. 'oh s**t! I forgot to tell her I was married!', I thought to myself. I took a seat on the sofa and gestured to her, "Melanie, please come and have a seat beside me here, I want to talk to you.", I said softly, as I patted the empty space next to me. Instead of sitting on the sofa, Melanie leaped and landed on my thighs. I grunted in pain since a cow of a woman had pounced on me.
Melanie was always lazy so it wasn't strange for her to have gained weight while she was abroad. "Melanie please get off of me." I said, as I gently nudged her, but she was stubborn. "No! I'm not going anywhere. I've loved you for as long as I can remember but you didn't wait for me, you married someone else." She screamed, forcing me to kiss her while restraining my hands so that I wouldn't be able to push her away.
I was panting, not because I was into the kiss, but because I was trying to find a way to get out of her hold, but alas, she was very strong ever since we were kids and now she has the weight to back it up. while I was trying to get rid of her I heard the shattering of glass. "Oh hello, you must be the woman from the picture." Melanie said as she looked up. I didn't wish for anyone to see me in this situation since it'll cause a huge misunderstanding, especially my wife, whom I love dearly. Luck was not on my side. Why did Melanie do that. Just why.
While Melanie was distracted, I quickly pushed her off of me and got up. I turned around and rushed to Noel's side. Honey you're back I said as I stepped closer to her. I mentally face palmed myself for my choice of words as Noel stepped back, away from me. I felt my heart sink to the depths of my stomach. 'What have I gotten myself into?' I thought to myself. suddenly blood started gushing from both of Noel's nostrils. I was so shocked that I froze where I was standing. "Her nose is bleeding!" Melanie yelp. I saw Noel lift her right hand to touch her face when she retracted them her face turned white and her eyes rolled back.
I felt my body force itself to move and I was just in time to hold her before she collided with the floor.
"Call a f*****g ambulance! s**t!" I shouted at Melanie. The blood was all over Noel's blouse and the carpet that it looked like a murder scene. I was frantic as I tried to absorb the blood using the towel Melanie had handed to me. "You're going to be alright, okay honey?" I whispered into my wife's ears as I rubbed her temples. "Melanie! how long?" I shouted. "They're going to be here in 2 minutes." she said with a whimpering voice. "Gosh! I hope they get here quickly." I whispered yell.
