I wanted to hope she was lying to me, lying to get me off her back by threatening this man she's out running but I could tell she was being serious.
"So not an ex but he's obsessed with you to the point he's been tracking you down for how long exactly?" I ask. I'm not sure if she'll tell me the truth or a slim version of it.
I watch as her lips pucker a little as she takes a swig of her beer. I can tell she's getting low already. We'll need another round soon.
