Their First Meeting

Hazel’s POV

I turned around with a jerk when I realized Alpha Darren has entered into the kitchen.

A whisper left my mouth when my wide open eyes met with his.

‘Alpha Darren'.

He smiled at me and walked towards me.

I was so shocked that I forgot all my manners and instead of bowing in front of him, I asked almost whisper yelling at him, “What are you doing here?”

His smile widened even more as he replied in a low whisper, “I was getting bored out there and…”

I cut him off as I said, “Alpha Darren, you should not come in here. What if someone sees..”

“I don’t care about that. I just missed you so much, I could not help” he said while touching my face.

His action, his words always spread warmth in my chest but I know I should not feel this way. I am not his mate.

It’s his mate’s right. He hasn’t found his mate yet but one day he is going to find her.

I don’t want to be a kind of person who separates two soulmates. That is why I should not feel anything for him. I can’t feel anything for him.

And having this kind of feelings for someone else is not right for me either. It’s unfair for my own mate. I believe there is someone out there who is made for me, who might be trying to find me.

I can not betray him like this.

I moved away from his touch and whispered, “You should not say such thing Alpha Darren. Please go back” I said and turned around.

But suddenly he held my wrist and pulled me closer. I gasped out in surprise as my body collided with his and my hands landed on his shoulder.

His gray eyes boring into mine with an emotion which makes me feel goosebumps all over my body.

Love. I see love in those gray orbs which is not supposed to be there for me.

“Why can’t I say that? I love you Hazel. Until when are you going to push me away?” He asked.

“It’s not love Alpha Darren. It’s only because of what happened six years ago. You are misunderstanding your feelings for me” I countered even though I know it’s not truth.

“I know what I feel Hazel. It has nothing to do with what happened that day and you know that” he whispered the last part softly as his eyes fell on my lips.

Panic started crawling in my veins when I realized what he is thinking and I moved my face to the side looking away from him, as I said, “Please let me go Alpha Darren”.

But his hold didn’t loose. I again tried, “Please..” and my voice cracked due to all of this emotions that I am feeling inside.

His hold loosened around me and I took few steps away from him creating a decent distance between us.

“I am letting you go for now Hazel. But I promise I will make you believe that I truly love you and I will make you mine” he said with determination in his eyes.

“It’s not going to happen Alpha Darren. You should be finding your mate and tell her all this instead of saying this in front of me” I tried to make him understand.

He shook his head in no, “You are the only one for me Hazel. I don’t want my mate, I don’t want anyone else. I just want you”.

“But…” I was cut off when I heard a low and dangerous growl. Both of our heads whipped in the direction of the entrance of kitchen.

A very angry Mason was standing there.

“What the hell is going on in here?” he growled as his eyes were fixed on me. I gulped visibly at the anger in his eyes and tone.

“It’s nothing. I just came here to…” Alpha Darren started but was cut off when Mason said, “Everyone is waiting for you in meeting room, Alpha Darren. You should go there”.

Alpha Darren scowled at him for the disrespect as Mason cut him off but he didn’t express his anger and walked out of the kitchen but not before glancing in my direction.

As soon as Alpha Darren left, Mason’s eyes shifted to me and my heart started pounding against my chest when he started taking fast and angry strides in my direction.

“What were you doing with him?” he growled at my face and my body started shivering in fear.

“I.. I was…ahhh..” I screamed when he grabbed my hairs into his tight fist and tugged my head backwards. It was more painful than the time Laura was grabbing me like this.

“You like w**ring around huh? I didn’t know it” he snarled at my face.

It angered me but the pain in my scalp was too much for me to express any other emotions except the pain. Tears were now streaming down my face.

“I wasn’t…ahh..” he pulled my hairs even more. My head was on fire. My eyes widened and the colour got drained from my face when he buried his face into the crook of my neck. He inhaled sharply as if he was smelling me.

His lips touched my skin and I felt a shiver running down my spine. I was beyond shocked by his action.

“What.. what are you….?” I was cut off when he whispered in my crook, his lips brushing my skin with each word.

“I will take care of you later” saying this he pushed me away and walked out of the kitchen.

I fell on the floor still appalled by what just happened.

‘What was it? Why did he behave like that? He never did something like this before so what happened to him now?’.

All of these questions were eating me now. I pulled my knees closer to my chest as I tried to control the trembling of my body.

‘What in the world just happened now?’.

I couldn’t even calm my nerves when he again entered into the kitchen. This time his eyes looked darker than before.

But not because of anger but… lust.

He again started walking towards me and I got up from the floor and tried to run away from him. But before I could do that, he grabbed me by my arm and jerked my body towards himself.

A fearful shriek left my mouth but he put his big palm over my mouth.

His dangerous eyes bore into my scared ones as he spat with gritted teeth, “You are not going to make any sound or else I will take you right here against that counter behind you and no one will be able to stop me”.

I gulped visibly upon hearing his words. He is right. Who will dare to stop the future Alpha from doing anything.

“Got it?” he asked and I nodded helplessly. More tears started flowing down on my face.

He removed his palm from my lips but didn’t let me go. He started dragging me out of the kitchen using the back door and entered into the storeroom in the backyard of the pack house.

This place is almost abandoned and rarely anyone comes in this direction.

Fear started creeping my heart when he pushed me inside and locked the door behind him.

‘What is he planning on doing?’

“What were you doing with Darren?” he asked almost growling.

“We were just talking…ahh” he jerked my body forward and it collided with his hard one.

“Don’t you dare lie. I heard what he was saying to you. I didn’t know that you were such a w***e. If I knew earlier then I wouldn’t have waited this long” he said as he started caressing my face.

‘Waited for so long? What is he even saying?’ I thought while staring at him in confusion and fear.

I was struggling against him but he is just too strong for me. But when I heard his next word, all the colours got drained from my face.

“But now I don’t have to control myself anymore” he whispered in husky voice as his thumbs started caressing my lower lip.

Goosebumps appeared on my skin. I never thought he had these kind of thoughts towards me. I never noticed anything like this in his eyes before.

‘Is this the reason why Laura hates me so much? Is that why she calls me a w***e?’

He started leaning forward and my breath got stuck in my throat when I realized what he is going to do.

I gathered all my strength and pushed him away from myself. I strode in the direction of the door when he grabbed me by my hairs and yanked my body back to himself.

I screamed in pain but he muffled it with his palm.

“Don’t make noise darling. All the Alphas are present here. I don’t want them to witness the scene, where I am f**king you senseless” he whispered huskily in my ears.

The shiver of pure fear and disgust went down my body.

I struggled against him ignoring the pain my burning scalp but he wasn’t letting me go. I bit on his palm with which he was covering my mouth. He hissed in pain and removed his hand from my mouth.

“You b**ch!” he shouted and pushed my body against the door forcefully pressing my cheek to the door painfully. His whole front was touching my entire back as he pressed himself against me.

I could feel his hard-on against my back. I wanted to scream but the force with which he had forced my face to the door was not letting me say anything.

“You don’t know how long I have been waiting for the day to have you in my bed. I would have f**ked you thousands of times by now if not for your rank”.

“I didn’t want to lower my standards, you know. But when I couldn’t control anymore, I decided to ignore your rank and just have a taste of you”

“But that b**ch Laura started getting in my way. But I promise you, I am going to make you my personal w***e. I am just waiting for the day when I become Alpha”.

“Then no one will be able to stop me. Not even dad” he whispered against my skin.

I was stunned to hear everything that he was saying. How did I never noticed all of these?

He turned me around forcefully. I gasped but it got disappeared in his mouth when he crashed his lips against mine.

More tear started falling from my eyes as my struggles increased. I started punching him with my fists, tried scratching his skin.

He got irritated by my struggles and pulled away only to slap me hard on my face.

“Stop struggling you b**ch” he shouted. But I can't stop struggling. I just want to get away from him.

He again started leaning his face down when suddenly his eyes flickered as if he is talking through mind link.

“F**k” he cursed loudly. His eyes met mine and he pushed me away causing me to fall on the floor. I sighed in relief but his words snatched my relief instantly as he spat.

“Don’t be too happy. Because I am going to have you tonight. And once I become Alpha, you are going to become my personal w***e” spitting this words he opened the door and walked out.

His words filled my insides with terror. I got up from the floor and ran towards the door. I need to get out of here.

But I couldn’t open the door. He locked the door from outside. I started panicking. I banged the door with my fists, “Is someone out there? Open the door… please..”

I shouted in broken voice but no one came to help me. I slid down against the door falling on my knees, feeling helpless.

He was not serious right? But he looked like he was dead serious when he said those words.

He is going to…

No… it can’t be. I can’t let him do that to me… I will go to alpha David, he can stop his son. But will he believe me over his son’s words?

I grabbed my head between my palms, shaking my head.

“What do I do? How can I save myself? Please moon goddess… help me”

Suddenly the door of the storeroom opened and my breath got stuck in my throat.

‘Is he back? Is he here to do what he said earlier…' I was shivering in fear when I heard a voice calling my name.

“Hazel…”

I sighed in relief, “Mia…”.

She looked in my direction crouching down to my level and wrapped her arms around me, pulling me in a hug.

I also wrapped my arms around her and broke down in her arms. Letting out the fear and pain I was feeling because of Mason.

She caressed my back in comforting manner. “It’s okay Hazel. He is gone. Don’t cry”.

I pulled away from the hug, “Mia.. he.. he is going to…” I stuttered badly.

“I heard what he was saying. I saw him dragging you out here so I followed you. I am sorry.. I couldn’t come before to help you” she apologized.

I shook my head, “No you did right. But what do I do now Mia.. I don’t want to be his w***e… what do I do?”

“Run away Hazel…” she said and my eyes widened.

“What?” a shocked whisper left my mouth.

“Just run away. He is going to become Alpha in two days. No one will be able to stop him after that, you know it. Laura already hates you for some reason and if she finds out about what Mason thinks of you, she will start tormenting you even more” she said.

The memories of the nights where I had to endure the pain for whole night because of her brutal abuse, came to my mind causing the hair on my body to rise.

“Right now he is busy in sending alpha king off. Laura thinks you are in kitchen. Mason will be thinking that you are locked in here. This is the right time Hazel. No one will find out”.

“But what about you? If I run away and he finds out that you are the one who helped me in escaping, they will punish you” I tried to make her understand that I might put her in danger if I ran away.

I can’t do that to her.

“I will mask my scent Hazel. You know I have that liquid which helps us hide our scents. So don’t worry about me and just go” she said.

I thought for a while and decided to follow her advice. I know it would be difficult for me to survive out of the pack but it would be better than losing my dignity, my self respect by becoming his w***e.

Dying in the hands of rogues would be better than living like a dead person everyday.

Mia packed few of my clothes in small bag and brought it to me in the woods where I was waiting for her. I hugged her tightly and she whispered, “Take care”.

I nodded my head and took my bag from her hand. I started running using my wolf speed. I ran as fast as I could.

I was about to reach the borders of Red shadow pack when I heard a scream of a woman. It came from a little far away.

It feels like someone is in danger. I know I should think about myself right now as I am also in danger but I couldn’t ignore that woman’s scream.

I heard the scream again and increased my speed. I reached the borders and my eyes fell on a woman lying on the ground, her body is covered in her own blood.

I ran towards the woman and found she is still breathing but it is becoming shallow.

I can scent something stinky as if a rogue was here. It scared me. Was this woman attacked by a rogue?

I looked around to see if anyone is still present here. I have to help her but how?

I was about to get up from ground when I heard a loud, menacing growl.

I flinched at the voice and turned around to find a very big and masculine man walking in my direction. He looks angry.

The aura surrounding him is evident that he is a high rank wolf. Maybe some Alpha. But no, I never felt this kind of aura around Alpha David or Alpha Darren.

As soon as my eyes met with his he stopped dead in his track. I saw shock flicker in his eyes.

He came out of his shock when one of his man said, “Alpha king…”.

Alpha king? He is The Alpha king.

He stood beside me in a second, using his wolf speed and his eyes fell on the injured woman laying on the ground.

His jaw clenched as he fisted his palms.

The hair on my neck rose due to fear when he turned his eyes to glare at me.

He looks angry. No he is raged.

‘Is she someone important to him? Is she his mate? If yes then instead of being sad why is he getting angry?’

My question was answered and all the colours got drained from my face when he asked in his deadly voice,

“You killed her?”
