Prologue

Alpha Darren was sitting on the couch in front of my eyes and tears filled in my eyes as soon as I saw him.

He must have felt my gaze on him as he lifted his eyes and looked in my direction. Our eyes met and his mouth dropped open upon seeing me here.

Soon the surprise got replaced by concern as he whispered my name under his breath. But I am sure everyone present in the room heard him because of their wolf ears.

That’s when Alpha King turned around and my eyes met with his green ones. My heart thumped in my chest due to fear when I saw anger in his eyes.

Alpha Darren got up from the place, “Oh my god Hazel, what are you doing here?” he asked and was about to walk in my direction when Alpha King commanded in his deep cold voice.

“Take a seat Alpha Darren”. I could not see his expressions when he said that because his back is facing me but I knew he must be looking dangerous and dominating.

Because when Alpha Darren’s eyes fell on him, he instantly obeyed and sat down.

“You come here” Alpha King said without turning around but I knew he said it to me. So I quickly obeyed and walked in his direction. I stood beside him waiting for his next command but it never came.

He didn’t even look at my face. His eyes were fixed on Alpha Darren and I could feel Alpha Darren’s gaze on me. But I didn’t dare look in his direction.

“Is she the one that you love?” Alpha King tried asking in calm tone but I could clearly hear the anger in his voice.

“Yes she is” Alpha Darren said and it was not shocking for me. I know it already. Even I like him, have liked him for years but I know I can’t confess it in front of him.

But what shocked me was Alpha King Adrian’s next words when he said with gritted teeth, “So she is the reason why you don’t want to accept my sister as your mate. You want to reject my sister because of her?”.

My eyes widened and this time I averted my gaze and looked at Alpha Darren who was already staring at my face.

I saw determination in his eyes and it kind of scared me. Within few days of my stay in Royal pack house I have found out that Alpha King loves his sister Rose a lot.

“I love Hazel Alpha King and she is the only woman who will always be in my heart” Alpha Darren said.

A low growl left from Alpha King’s mouth and if I was his mate I would have thought it was kind of possessive.

The fear gripped my heart when I saw the flash of golden appearing and disappearing in his eyes.

It means his wolf wants to take control and that scared me even more. Because his wolf is more dangerous and dominating than him.

He got up from the couch standing on his feet. My head was bowed in fear. Everyone present in the room also got up from their seats to show respect.

Suddenly his hand got wrapped around my waist and he pulled me closer with a jerk causing my body to collide with his hard one.

A low gasp of surprise left from my mouth and I lifted my eyes up to find him already staring down at me.

“I am letting you go without any punishment Alpha Darren because you are unaware of the fact…” he said staring right into my eyes.

Suddenly a small smirk made its way to his lips making me confused. He averted his eyes and looked directly into Alpha Darren’s eyes and said

“That the girl you claim to love is my woman. She is mine…” he paused as his eyes again met with my shocked ones and he continued.

“Only Mine”.

Saying this he leaned closer, burying his face in the crook of my neck. I was so shocked to even move until I felt him lick my neck where my mate is supposed to mark me.

I realized what he was trying to do and it shocked me even more. My heart started producing in my chest due to fear.

I tried to push him but all of my movements stopped making me frozen in his arms when I felt him digging his canines in my neck.

A scream left my mouth when I felt his canines digging deeper and deeper into my flesh. Terror spread across my whole being when my mind registered what he just did.
