Darnell really wouldn't have driven past the Internet cafe. The blue globe on the sign dispersed the evening gloom with its light, inviting those who did not have the Internet at home or those who simply wanted to play computer games in a quiet atmosphere in the company of the same fans. When Darnell entered the establishment, he watched warily at the security cameras placed at the ceiling. He chose the best spot away from their cold, mechanical gaze and occupied a computer. He grabbed another empty chair and made Madeleine sit next to him.
