The Conference: part three

2068 Words
Third Person POV Two gorgeous twins walked in, hand in hand. Silver-white hair, the girl with bright turquoise eyes and the boy with golden eyes. They both wore matching clothes. The girl wore a white dress, the skirt of it pleated and the shoulders slightly puffed. The dress was trimmed with black lace and a black bow sat neatly atop her head. The boy wore a sailor-styled two-piece, trimmed with black lace also. Instead of a bow, he had a hat that sat slanted atop his head decorated with a black ribbon. The girl was munching on what looked to be a strawberry or cherry lollipop, while the boy favoured a blueberry lollipop. Everyone who saw them immediately melted and fell in love, even those stoic Lords. Quinn stood and threw his arms up at the twins "Goodness, look at my babies! Who told you to look so cute?!" the twins giggled and ran over to their dad, their grandfather Conrad quickly standing in panic "Hey, hey What has grandpa told you about running with food in your mouth? You could choke!" The High-Elf giggled and the twins froze, turning to look at the screen. Erebus looked at Aradia and tilted his head "Isn't she one of yours?" Aradia nodded "Yeah, Light Elf. But look." Aradia wriggled her finger at the blonde Half-Elf "Our granddaughter." Erebus scowled "Why does she look like that jerk?" Aradia shrugged "Maybe she doesn't. I don't know what her mother looked like...Mind you, I can't even remember what my son looked like. Any of my children, for that matter. It's a lot of broken pieces up there." Erebus nodded "I remember Anvara. He had your hair and his eyes. He was actually a very cute child. Very obedient. I wonder where he is now?" The Half-Elf stuttered out 'excuse me', everyone was visibly shocked "M-My father passed away seventy years ago..." Erebus sighed and Aradia smiled "Silly girl, I have him a speck of my divinity. He's reincarnated somewhere. I'll find him eventually, I always do end up finding my children in each life." Dia then squinted at Ovion "Hey. Isn't that my locket? It's lasted this long?" Erebus nudged her "Of course, it has, who do you take me for? It's a divine artifact!" Dia nodded thoughtfully, gently patting Ere's head. Talia put her hand up "Wait, wait...Are you telling me... you remember all of your previous lives?" Dia shrugged her shoulders "For now. Artemis and Hodr are giving us memories via our power. We've got about 60 minutes before we forget this entire encounter. So, children of ours...What are your questions? We'll go in screen order from top left to bottom right." Dia stated as she turned to face the screen again. First up was the Fae. King Quill looked at Ere with sad eyes. "We...Never even knew your names. C-Can we know now?" the twins nodded. Ere stated that his name was 'Halas' while Dia stated her name was 'Aitaline'. The Fae King began to cry while his daughters comforted him. The Queen smiled "Thank you. That means a lot to us. Can you tell me...Do you have fate with our children in this life?" Dia nodded "We do. Though, we can't see that fate. Our big sister won't allow it." Queen Islara nodded. Next was High-Elf Talane "I wish to know why you gave my bloodline such a blessing. Because of you, our race thankfully will never forget what the two of you look like. But why?" Dia thought for a minute "Honestly, other than the love and devotion we received from your bloodline, we were always complimented on our looks. So, I thought even if we were gone, your great-great-grandparents would appreciate having a tie to us through their descendants." Talane nodded thoughtfully. Lord Elyimil sat forward. "Why are we...Blood Elves?" Dia's eyes lit up and she stepped closer to the screen, urging everyone to watch as she sliced open her palm. From the blood pooling out of her wound, she formed the red sword from legends. "This is why. I blessed you with the ability to manipulate blood like I do!" Elyimil's face darkened in sorrow "B-But...We can't manipulate blood" Dia's face dropped. "What? But I obviously passed the blessing to Relisk and told him to teach you all since you all had the blessing..." Talane cleared her throat "Actually, Relisk turned traitorous and tried to wipe out the Elves...So he was executed." Dia stomped her feet unhappily and started to yell profanities, cursing at Relisk. She swore to find his reincarnation and tear the blessing from him. Ere had to settle her. Dia huffed "I will teach you at the end of the Q&A. Then you can teach the rest of the Blood Elves." Elyimil nodded happily, tears brimming her eyes. Ovion was next "My ancestor passed down a phrase to my bloodline. I was wondering if you could tell us what it meant". Ere nodded "I know what you're talking about. 'I can't tell you when, but in the coming future, an alliance will be made. Fight fiercely and survive'. I told him that before my death." Dia prodded Ere's cheek "Prophecy?" Ere nodded and pointed around the room before turning back to Ovion. "Alliance." Ovion frowned "So, 'fight fiercely and survive' is for me-" Ovion watched as Ere's eyes wandered to Lysia's stomach. It took a second but he quickly clicked in "No...My child?" Ere looked away and Lysia touched her stomach in confusion. Ovion slinked back in his seat with a deep-set frown. Kavasin leaned forward in contemplation "So the prophecy for my bloodline is for...Relfyrsin..." Ere shifted on his feet a little and nodded "I said I would try to protect him. I will." Kavasin nodded, allowing himself to sink deep into his thoughts. Thelvara was teary as she scootched closer to the screen "G-Grandma...Why did you marry such an awful man? You might still be here if you didn't...." Dia shook her head "Silly child. I am not privy to my own fate. He wasn't a bad person when I met him. Like most, having wealth and power within his grasp corrupted him. That is my fault. But, from that union, came you and your father. It was worth it if you ask me." Thelvara sobbed like a child as she nodded, excusing herself quickly to get a tissue. When she came back, Nakkel asked Ere "Where did you go?" Erebus rubbed the back of his head and pointed to Aradia "As per most stories, my sister died and so I followed. We are a pair. When one of us dies, the other feels hollow, like they've lost their soul and are just an empty shell. I apologise...I should have said something but I didn't want to ruin the peace and happiness the Dwarves had earned. I'm sure it was the same for Dia, as it seems she never told the Barbarians she was dying either." Dia nodded and Gulvdan frowned "But you were the greatest warrior known to any race. How did you die?" Dia paled a little and Ere frowned, saying he would like to know that too. "I...Was given an ultimatum by a Demi-God who had the same weapon my human husband used on me. Either die and the Barbarians live, or live and the Barbarians die. I was too proud of them to risk their lives, and so I willingly allowed myself to be killed. " Gulvdan's face twisted in pain. His eyes filled with so much guilt. Their beautiful war Goddess had given their life for them and he couldn't look her in the eyes after hearing that. "Child, I didn't tell you that to make you feel guilty. Instead, see just how important each of you is to me." Gulvdan nodded firmly. Onelya frowned at the twins "Honestly, for me and probably Claudia as well...Why create us and love us if you were just going to abandon us?" Claudia nodded and the twins dipped their heads in unison to give a sincere apology. "We didn't mean to abandon you...Divine beings often feel TOO much or not enough. There's no in-between. The death of our brother was eating us alive. Especially after we found out he had sacrificed his memories and relationship with our big sister to be our big brother in each lifetime. " Onelya and Claudia's eyes softened and they nodded in understanding, feeling slight guilt for asking. Tatoniel sighed "Arafinel...When you and Hanuriel were gone, we lost our purpose...Please tell me. Why were we created? What is our purpose now?" Aradia's face twisted with sadness "I take it you are Erafiel's son. You're his spitting image. Truthfully, I did originally create angels to protect my brother. But I realised my mistake later on and taught the angels about justice for all, upholding the balance and bringing peace and prosperity. Angels represent my love for all and my wish was for you all to see that you had the power to uplift anyone, no matter who they were or where they came from. You have the innate ability to seek justice for the wronged and protect those weaker than you. You are my right hand and with it, I offer light and guidance. " Tatoniel looked as though he were renewed. As if Dia had breathed fresh purpose into him "One thing I can tell you...About your fate, that is. Your daughter will be the keeper of my key. When she comes to you and tells you that she's found it, tell her to protect it no matter what, never let it out of her sight. In the future, that key will be the only thing that can unlock the rest of my abilities. It may also not look like a key. Just wait for the time she comes around and tells you that she's found something strange." Tatoniel looked at Dia with confusion. He was about to tell her that he didn't have a daughter but Dia interrupted "Yes you do. Very soon, a beautiful angel with red hair will bring your daughter to you and explain that she was too scared to tell you she had conceived from the one night you both spent together." Tatoniel's usual stoic face flushed bright red and Celeste cackled behind Dia "Goodness, Dia. Way to air out the poor guy's dirty laundry." the girl quickly realised her mistake and apologised profusely while the embarrassed Tatoniel was coming to grips with the fact he had a daughter. Latla said she had no questions to ask until it was confirmed Dia and Ere were the Dragon's creators. Diagda, however, was eager to see Dia's abilities and asked for a demonstration. Dia responded that she had been waiting for this question, hence her unhealed palm. Her other hand gently hovered over her wound and a faint blue-green light sewed the wound back together as if nothing were even there. Then, she made her way to the corner of the room where she saw a dying plant and dragged it over, the same blue-green glow reviving the plant, giving it a brand new life. Diagda was amazed and dipped his head in both respect and thanks. Dia complained to her brother about being tired and Ere nodded but reminded her she had yet to pass on the blood manipulation ability. Dia quickly sat on the floor and showed Elyimil over and over and over again how to practice the ability. She also had Talane write what she was saying word for word so Elyimil could go over it and repeat it to the rest of the Blood Elves. By the time Elyimil had manipulated even a drop, Ere and Dia were sleeping on the floor, their 60 minutes up. Janet took them back to their rooms and tucked them into bed while the rest of the conference focused on a plan to all meet up, when, where and how. They all agreed that given history, it was best to keep all of their movements quiet. It went off without a hitch and the meeting adjourned until next time....
