1743 Words

It was fancy and proper with butlers, attendants and a hundred and one spoons to choose from. The only drink served that was mildly intoxicating was the wine. Blood wine to be more specific. I opted for the vegetarian option of the beverage and tried to ignore the suspicious looks directed at me by the ever so nosey Paris. I actually preferred the red liquid to my normal human diet, but unlike the fully genetic vampires, I didn't need it to survive. Seeing as we had a ball to attend, everyone watched what they ate and cared for minute details. Some noted all that touched their skin while others measured the amount of sunlight that they were exposed to.
