Jaden's pov
I woke up the next morning to see numerous miss calls from my secretary. Nate never called at night not unless it was absolutely necessary.
I called him back and Nate picked up even before the first ring could go through.
" There's a huge problem in the company" Nate replied panicking before I could ask anything
"I'll be there" , I said as I got up from my bed and started dressing up to leave for the company.
"Babe where are you going?" I heard Evans call behind me.
" There's a problem at the company " I said and walked out of the house
25mins later I reached the company to see the company in complete chaos.
"Nate, what happened?" I asked my secretary
" Someone seems to have attacked our software and now all of our confidential information is leaked which had resulted in the stock plummeting "Nate reported .
I looked at the screen which showed the decreasing stock prices.
" How is this possible? What's the IT department doing?", I asked
"We have tried our best,Sir, but the attacker is too strong" someone from the department replied.
"Has this ever happened before" I asked
No sir came the reply.
I looked at the screen in front of me, the numbers continued to drop.
"Sir, what should we do?, Nate asked.
"I will find a way" I said
"Sir, if the news gets out that the stock prices have dropped so much, the investors will panic and sell their shares. We need to find a way to stabilize the market"
"This seems like the work of Spark. There is nothing we can do " someone exclaimed
" But hasn't Spark been gone for three years" someone said
I looked at the person waiting for him to continue.
"If it is spark's doing I am sorry sir no-one here is capable of helping you" he continued
"And why is that so?" I asked
"Sparks is the most famous hacker in the world" Nate replied.
"But why would he attack our company.
"I will handle it" I said but what I didn't know was this was just the beginning.
I walked to my cabin lost in thoughts.
"Why would a famous hacker attack our software?" I wondered.
"Unless" I exclaimed as realisation hit me.
"Unless, he is working for someone.
"Who would want to sabotage our company?" I asked myself.
I sat in my office thinking of ways to resolve the situation.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening.
I looked up and saw Nate standing at the door.
" What's the latest update? " I asked
"The IT department is still trying to locate the source of the attack" Nate replied.
"Let me know once they find anything"
"Yes sir" Nate replied and left the office.
After nearly 8 hrs of attack the hacker stopped but the damage had been done.
"Sir, the stock price has plummeted to an all time low. If this continues the company will shut down "
I was wondering how who I offended when my grandfather's care taker called me to say that he had heard of what happened at the company and has suffered an attack.
I rushed out of the office not bothering that I probably looked like a ghost.
"Nate, get the car" I called out
We sat in the car and I told him to take me to the he family villa.
Nate sped the car towards the villa as I called grandpa's doctor to come to the villa.
15 minutes later, I stood in my grandfather's room waiting for his doctor to give me a diagnosis.
"I'm not able to put my hands on the problem" he said after trying for nearly half an hour.
"What do you mean doctor?" I asked
" I mean there's nothing I can do to help" he said bowing his head
"If not you, who?" I asked him
There is one person"
"Then go and get him.
"You don't understand, Mr. Jaden. This is beyond my scope of expertise.
"Who is the doctor?"
"Dr. Eidin.," he replied
"Then go get him" I said impatient
"Nobody has heard of her in three years" he said
"Why?"
" She was a top surgeon. One day she suddenly stopped coming to the hospital.
"Find her. Go wherever you need to. Find her" I commanded
" Yes, sir.
"Mr. Jaden, I hope you are aware that there is a 90% chance of your grandfather not making it through the night"
" I know"
I walked into grandpa's room and sat by his bed.
*Amelia's pov*.
I woke up the next morning surprisingly well rested and walked out of my room to see Walter waiting for me.
"What is it?" I asked
"Someone has been searching for Dr. Eidin" he said
"Who?"
"The chief of surgery of Roswell hospital.
" Why is he searching for me?
"He wants your help.
"Who told him I was back"
"Nobody, he just called to inquire"
"How is that possible?"
"I think he needs your help and is desperate"
Just as we were talking Liam, the chief of secretary called Walter.
I gestured to put the phone on loudspeaker.
" Walter, can you please connect me with Dr. Eidin. This is an emergency" Liam said sounding desperate.
I had never seen him so anxious.
"Who is the patient we are talking about" Walter asked
"Chairman of He enterprises " he replied and it was enough for Walter to disconnect the call.
"Why did you do that?" I was shocked by his reaction.
" It's a trap. You are not going there" he said
I smiled at his words.
Walter was a tall and rough guy who intimidated everyone around him but somehow I found him rather cute.
I walked up to him and pulled his cheeks knowing if anyone else did it they'd be buried six feet under the ground.
"He doesn't know I'm Eidin " I said as I sat down on the couch.
"I am not risking it" Walter said
"I am not risking your safety."
"Walt, As a doctor it is my duty to help the patient"
" You're not the only doctor in the country " he said refusing to budge from his decision.
"He can go search for any doctor he wants you are not going" Walter said decisively
I knew he was worried about me but I couldn't refuse a patient my conscience would never allow me.
"Walter, you know me. I have to help him" I said meeting his gaze.
"Amy, no. You don't have to.
"You don't owe him anything "
"But as a doctor I do", I said
"Need I remind you the way they tortured you for three years. It was chairman He who nearly had you killed. Don't tell me you have gone soft hearted after only a day", Walter said furious.
Memories of the day came flooding in my brain and I felt a shiver run down my spine.
I would really be dead if not for the combat skills I had learned growing up.
But right now I wasn't looking at chairman He as my ex-husband's grandfather and my mortal enemy but rather as just another patient that needed me.
"Walter, please understand. I have to go.
"Amy, don't do this.
"Walter, it will be okay. I will be back before you know.
"How about we send someone else to acess the situation and if it really requires your presence I won't stop you" he said giving in.
"He once unknowingly stopped Jaden from killing me and I owe him for that.I'll see him once and that'll be his payment " I said
"And after that I'll make them pay for everything they did to me" I continued
Walter knew I didn't like being in debt so he finally gave in.
"Fine but you're not going alone and make sure he doesn't find out your identity", he said
"Yes boss" I said mock saluting him and we both laughed.
"Edward, " Walter called out
Edward came running in and stood respectfully awaiting orders.
"Take the car and go to Roswell hospital and take Miss Hou along"
"Yes, Sir" Edward said and bowed his head.
"You can go, Edward.
"Amy, if anything happens to you I'll have Edward's head"
"I'm glad to see you have such faith in him"
"It's not him, it's you" he said smiling
I got ready and we left in the car.
We reached the hospital and met Liam outside the emergency ward.
"Liam" I said and hugged him.
"Eidin, I was so worried you weren't coming.
"How could I not.
"Let's see the patient first and then we'll talk"
I walked into the ICU and saw a man lying in bed hooked up to a lot of monitors and machines.
"How's the patient" I enquired.
" Not good. We are unable to find out the problem.." Liam said sounding distraught.
"What are his symptoms" I asked
NO symptoms he has been unconscious since yesterday.
"Why did you call me for an unconscious patient"
"Because he is the Chairman of He Enterprise and no one knows what happened" Liam explained
"He had a heart attack but the doctors say it's not the reason for his coma"
"When was his heart attack" I asked
"Two days ago"
"What was his medical history before the heart attack"
"Normal except the high blood pressure"
"Was he on any medication for that?"
"Yes.
"Did he have a cardiac arrest before?"
"No.
"I will need his complete medical records.
"Also, is there a family member we can inform"
"I'll ask president Jaden to meet you" Liam said as he pulled out his phone.
I didn't want Jaden to find my identity as Eidin so I pulled my mask to my face.
"Hello Liam" I heard Jaden's voice as he entered the room.
"Liam, what happened to the patient?" he asked
"Dr. Eidin will tell you" Liam said
Jaden turned his gaze towards me waiting for me to say something.
"Your grandfather had a heart attack two days ago and since then has been unconscious.
"The heart attack probably is the cause of his unconsciousness so until we are sure I can't give a definitive answer" I said
"But he will be fine? " Jaden asked anxiously
"Yes.
"His vitals are stable and we will run more tests"
"Thank you Dr. Eidin.
"Please contact me as soon as you know anything" he said handing me his card.
I nodded and he left.
"Liam, get me his records and then we can discuss further"
Liam nodded and I went into the room.
I took off my gloves and checked his pulse.
It was weak.
"This is your payment for saving me that one time" I whispered in his ears.
"And once your recover I'll drag you to the depth of tartrus with my own hands" I said as I continued taking his pulse.
"Doctor" the nurse interrupted.
"Yes, Nurse.
"There is a problem" she said and gestured for me to follow her.
"What is the problem?" I asked.
"His heart rate has spiked and the EKG is going crazy.
Is this a reaction to the medicine" I asked as I checked the chart.
"No, Dr.
"I am getting the defibrillator.
"Wait, he is not having a cardiac arrest" I said
"Then what is it.
"Get an EEG machine and let's see if he is having a seizure.
"Nurse, keep the monitor connected to his chest and page Liam." I instructed as I got into action
