Imogene Scott Damien stands up first, his eyes locking with mine. There’s a storm in them—anger, hurt, regret, and something else. Something raw that makes my throat tighten. Keith tries to stand, but he winces, clearly in pain. “Imogene,” he says, his voice soft, like he’s expecting me to run to him. But I don’t. I can’t.
