Celina
I threw the money Marcelo had given me on my bed as soon as I got home.
I had never seen so many hundreds in my life. What was wrong with that man? I quickly picked up all the money and put it in the back of my closet.
-The Next Day-
I woke up early and took a shower before I got dressed. I put my hair in a high ponytail and got ready to clean. I started in the living room. Vito had shown me where all the cleaning supplies were so I got right to it. I vacuumed the small carpet in the living room first and then began dusting. I finished the living room in twenty minutes and then headed to the kitchen. It was spotless but I still cleaned the kitchen counters, the table, and the island basically all the surfaces. I then headed upstairs and slowly walked into Vito's bedroom. His bed was huge and was the staple of the room. The tones were beige and light grey. I looked over at the glass doors that led to the terrace.
"Wow," He had an incredible view.
The closet was well organized. His bathroom was a simple gold shower head by the dark grey wall and a toilet and sink off to the other side. His towels were all black.
"Are you cleaning or snooping?" Vito startled me out of amusement.
"Oh, I was just admiring the cleanliness," I said.
"Right," his eyes raked me up and down. "Well, hurry it up." I grabbed my rag and began to clean his sink and mirrors.
His bed was already made so I swept and mopped his marble floor. Vito had gone off into his office so I headed to the gym upstairs. I wiped every machine and equipment down. It took me an hour. I was exhausted. I didn't know if it was okay to take a break but I needed water. I had been cleaning for three hours and a half now.
Vito had so many nice cutlery and glasses for every occasion. I grabbed a tall glass and poured myself some water. I was looking out the small window in the kitchen. The sun was shining. I imagined being on a beach somewhere. I had never been to the beach let alone seen the ocean. I wanted to see it so bad.
*Crunch*
A bird suddenly flew near the window and startled me. I dropped the glass I was holding. I quickly picked up the pieces. I threw one by one into the trash. I was holding the last piece in my hand and slowly squeezed my hand closed. The pain was a sudden rush for me. I closed my eyes and licked my lips. My hand was bleeding but I didn't care.
"CELINA!" Vito yelled. He ran to me and threw the piece of glass into the trash. "What the hell did you do?"
"Nothing, I mean. I got startled and I broke a glass, I am sorry," I told him. "You can take it out of my pay or I can buy you a new one." Vito lifted up my wounded hand.
"Oh so it is that simple," he said coyly. He pushed me toward the fridge door. My back hit the handle. The coldness sent shivers up my spine.
"The glass was expensive,"
"I said I was sorry,"
"It's not good enough,"
"But," I tried to plead but he just pushed me into the fridge harder. "I am sorry. I will do anything to repay you." He quickly grinned.
"I know," Vito yanked on my ponytail. My head fell back and I was looking up into his eyes. "This feeling I had in the pit of my stomach was the same one I had when I first saw him. He wasn't just handsome he was dangerous. He was intense and I enjoyed it more than I should. His lips crashed onto mine. My hands immediately cupped his face. He continued to yank my hair. The pain was pure pleasure to me.
His phone rang so he broke the kiss.
"I'll let you repay me later," he said calmly. He walked away and began to speak in a different language. I touched my lips. I was shocked and unsure of what just happened. Did that really happen?
I ran back to my room and tried to treat my cut.
-Several Hours Later-
"Are you okay?" Vito said as he stood at my doorway.
"Yeah,"
"You didn't finish cleaning,"
"Oh, I will," I tried to get up from my bed but he made a long stride towards me stopping me from moving.
"Didn't I say you had to finish all your work?"
"Um,"
"Celina," my name leaving his lips was thrilling. He leaned in closer to me. "You owe me so much more now." He pecked me softly. Vito then slowly pushed my back onto the bed. He smelled so woodsy and clean. I wanted to bury my nose in his neck and take in all of his scents. He began to lift up my shirt.
"Vito, no," I said. He didn't listen and continued pushing it up. "Please, stop."
"You want me to stop?" I didn't but I did.
"Please,"
"No," his word was cold and harsh. I felt the tear in my eyelash fall down to my cheek. He licked the single tear off my cheek and got off of me. He didn't say a word. He just left.
Vito confused me and my heart. I had so many emotions running through me when I was around him. I knew he would never in a million years feel the same way. I didn't want to be his toy or have him use me for a single moment. No matter how great that moment would be. I wanted more and I knew I shouldn't. He really was dangerous. I was going to fall for him so hard if I haven't already. I was just a stupid silly girl. Falling for a man I barely knew. Falling for a man who was my savior and my menace.
