If I say no, I knew deep down that I would be lying to myself.
There were times when I saw some similarities between my ex-mate and Lucian’s. Lucian was a mix of both us with his very dark brown and eyes. If one’s eyes were sharp enough, Lucian may seem to have black hair and eyes just like his father to them.
Whenever I note this resemblance from my son and some others, it tempts me to just ask if he wanted to know his father like the other children in his class. But then, I always stopped myself from doing so out of pure selfishness.
If Lucian wanted to know about his father, then what about me? What if Lucian decided to stay with his father and leave me all alone because it was much fun there? My mind would be filled self-doubt and uncertainties.
