Mary let out an “Ah!”
But Evelyn only coldly laughed. "Where would she have gotten the invitation? It was me who sent someone with it."
"You sent someone?" Mia was confused.
Evelyn’s headache was growing. "the Adler family had three invitations. I intended to send a fake one, but it seems Zhong Gu got confused and sent the real one by mistake."
"Well, that really worked out for that little brat!" Mary was itching with frustration. "If you’d given it to me, it would’ve been much better."
Evelyn was losing her patience. "I would’ve taken you in too!"
