I woke up inside Nathan’s room. The heavy, musky scent of a man lingered in the air. Ethan must have brought me here after the incident. I had lost consciousness again, and now there was no trace of him in the room. I was used to his abrupt appearances and departures, and I was, perhaps, glad he wasn't here now to complicate things further. I tried to sit up, but a throbbing pain shot through my head.
