Shadow

When the body is thirsty, it demands water. When a person is overcome by desire, primal demands intensify, shutting down rational thought. This is the nature of intense physical arousal—a reaction controlled by the nervous system, where the brain forfeits reason. For a person feeling this compulsion, the safest path is solitude. But what happens when that desire belongs to a male creature who has been caged for two decades, starved of human contact, and is now ravenous? What happens to the person he chooses for intimacy? He could kill someone through the act alone. Not to mention, he wasn’t human at all. As I felt his massive hands sliding down my breast, I knew I was in immediate danger. I knew he had been waiting for this moment, and he had found his potential prey. I was the prey. We had made an agreement, but I couldn't accept this. I knew he could break me. He was immense; I was like an insect compared to him. The thought of him slamming into my body made me want to scream in sheer terror. I was still in love with his twin. I could not give my body to him. It belonged only to Nathan. “S-Stop, I can’t do this.” I stood up and turned to face him. He froze, his lips peeling back from his teeth in a snarl, his focus shattered by the interruption. My eyes dropped inadvertently, catching the enormous bulge beneath his clothing. He hadn't exposed himself yet, but from the size of it, I knew it was colossal. “I thought you agreed to my terms? I ordered you to take off your clothes!” His jaw tightened audibly. His forehead creased as he towered over me. “I—I know, but…I’m not ready, and I’m—” Before I could finish my sentence, he abruptly yanked me toward him. He held my hand so hard it immediately turned red. I groaned in pain, but he didn’t care. He would never care. “Strip, or I’m going to snap your neck!” he thundered. He pushed me away with such impact that I landed hard on the ground, my skirt flying up. I looked up at him as I tried to get up, trying to escape his threatening eyes that were dissecting my exposed legs. “Do you want me to s*******r you? Do you want me to end your life right now?! Do you not want to see the sun again?!” I screamed when he climbed on top of me. He hadn't done anything explicitly against my will yet, but the way his eyes penetrated my soul made it clear he was prepared for a violation. When I failed to answer his rapid-fire questions, his body abruptly shifted into his half-wolf form. He showed me his sharp claws, then slashed my chest, tearing my shirt open. “Please! Stop!” I tried to halt him, but he pinned down both of my arms on the ground, caging my body between his torso and two massive legs. “There’s no escape, woman.” I cried out. His eyes scanned my face, studying every feature, until his gaze settled on my lips. He let out a sigh of relief, then returned to his normal body. I still couldn’t accept the fact that he could shape shift into a wild creature. Whenever I had the chance to look into his eyes, I was haunted by the memory of my dream. They were captivating and menacing at the same time. But I saw something I couldn't quite define. Something he had yearned for for a long time, something that was out of reach, pushed to the deepest, darkest end of the pit. I had expected him to force himself on me, but nothing happened. He observed me calmly from above. I swallowed, trying to hide my fear. “J-Just…don’t kill me after this, please,” I argued as I began to tear off the remnants of my shirt, which he had ripped earlier. I knew it was a foolish choice to submit, and he could kill me right here, but the truth was, I was more afraid of death. Even with the traumas that will haunt me for the rest of my life, I will still choose to live. The minute he saw my n***d chest, he stared at it, as if he had never seen breasts before. He looked more anxious than I was, but he shook the feeling away as he grabbed them forcefully, making me gasp with a painful pleasure. “Open your mouth.” I didn’t obey immediately, so he embedded his fingers inside my mouth as he brought down his head to my chest, sucking and giving each breast intense, focused attention. My body was in paradise, but my mind and feelings were tossed in hell. I stopped myself from wailing, as my eyes stung from too much crying. I nearly yelled in shock when he spread my legs. He looked up, and our eyes met. He stopped what he was doing as he examined my face. “I want you to moan. Moan like you are in pure pleasure, ecstasy…bliss. I want you to enjoy this.” Before I could say anything, he drove himself inside me. I closed my eyes and felt the heat rush through my system as I arched my back and instinctively held onto his massive biceps. However, he didn’t like being touched; using his one hand, he pinned both my arms above my head as he pushed deeper, carefully examining my expression. Even though I didn't want to make a sound to satisfy him, the way he drove into me made my insides go wild. I bit my bottom lip, desperately restraining my moans as he went deeper and became more frantic. He roughly snatched my jaw and met my lips. He kissed me with brutality, lapping, sucking, and tasting every corner of my mouth. His pace was accelerating, and my lower half was beginning to feel sore. “S-Stop—” He didn’t let me finish, grabbing my neck. He was gasping and grunting. His lips were twitching. Just before I reached my limit, he suddenly stopped. My body ached from being so close to the edge as he stood up, giving me a full view of his body, which seemed carved by an incredible artist. His eyes shone when the moonlight reflected on them. I tried my best not to look at his length that was still waving at me. No wonder I felt so sore; even when I wasn't looking directly, it was huge in my peripheral vision. “That’s enough.” He left me there, confused. I slowly got up, wondering what had happened to him. I knew he was close; I had felt his erection growing and jerking inside me. I felt a stinging sensation below. I looked down and saw how red my inner thighs were. He was out of my sight. I assumed he was gone. This was my cue to run away and leave him. I stood up, but my legs wobbled uncontrollably. I cursed under my breath. I couldn’t walk. How was I going to escape? “You can go now.” I turned around to face Ethan, crossing his arms and leaning against the door frame. I couldn’t read his thoughts as he looked at me as if I were merely an object he had finished using. I didn't know if he was joking, but his eyes suggested he was serious, and I was terrified he would change his mind if I didn’t move. I wasted no more time. I tried to stand straight and run, even with my legs shaking horrendously. I looked at him over my shoulder and saw him following me with his dull eyes. He seemed entirely uninterested in me escaping from his territory. Seconds turned into minutes, and he didn’t follow. I sighed in relief. I had expected him to keep me caged, but he thought I was not worthy of being his toy. I stumbled through the woods, trying desperately to keep my balance as I kept stepping on sharp debris. I hugged myself, trying to break free from his powerful gaze, which I could still feel. I was only wearing his white shirt, which reached over my knee. Underneath it, I was wearing nothing. The wind whispered cruelly, and my lips trembled. It was cold. I looked up ahead and saw someone walking in my direction. He was holding a torch, looking for something. I let out a deep sigh of relief when I saw another person. Thank God! I was safe! “Help! Please!” The man stopped when he heard me. He turned his head, looking in my direction. I waved my hands to get the old man’s attention. When his gaze landed on me, he stopped, and his nose wrinkled. I ignored the expression he made and kept begging. “Sir! Please help me! I need your help!” I clasped my hands together, pleading. His eyes wandered over my body from head to toe, and he remained silent. “Sir…” My voice trailed off when he tossed the torch away and aggressively seized my arm. He wasn’t speaking, but his menacing eyes told me everything. The way he looked at me—as if he wanted to eat me alive—made my heart race. I was about to run away when he lunged over me and tried to kiss my neck. I pried myself from his grasp, but he punched me in the stomach, making me choke on my spit and scream in agony. “H-Help…” My vision grew hazy, and my arms dropped to the ground as he began to caress my legs, sitting heavily on my stomach. I struggled to get away from his hold, but he was too strong. I turned my head and saw a towering figure of a man walking toward us. I raised my hand, attempting to reach out, but my head spun, and I couldn’t hold on any longer. Before I passed out, the man vanished into thin air.
