Rain's Pov
I wake to an empty bed with the sun shining in on my sore body. I have mostly physically healed but the pain in my chest still tears a hole where my heart should be. I look out the window as I hear men talking. I know it is not Adrian or I could feel him, Connect with him. I hear a knock at the door, Rain honey are you awake yet. I instantly know who it is, it’s my mom.
“Come in” I say as I lay back down onto the pillow. She slowly comes into the room and looks at me with a pouty lip. Coming to sit on the edge of the bed she holds onto my hand and I feel the tears flow.
"I messed everything up mom."
“No, honey you didn’t, Adrian is dealing with a lot right now. Not only the distrust has he felt from you but also changes in himself”.
"Changes in himself?”
