Clashes of thunder reverberated through the ominous night, shaking the very foundations of my existence. The rain transformed into a torrential downpour, its fury pounding against the roofs of houses. Each droplet crashed to the ground like miniature explosions, their impact echoing my racing heart. With each stride I took, my footsteps resonated like war drums against the slick, wet floor. The darkness swallowed me whole, my eyes darting wildly in search of an unseen pursuer. Every beat of my heart intensified, like a turbulent storm brewing within my chest. Dread gripped my entire being, a suffocating fear that squeezed the air from my lungs.
