Chapter Two: Alpha Talon “aka my father”

That night I could barely sleep, I tossed and turned trying to wrap my head around everything that Robert and Ember just told Evert and me last night after dinner. About our birth mothers Taya & Tara and that Evert and I were more than brother and sister we were also cousins. Our Mothers where twins and Talon claimed them both as his mates on a blood moon. Which is very unheard of but somehow happened? As well as how we came to live with Robert and Ember, our father couldn’t even look at us after both of our mothers died after give birth to us. So, Ember being the omega in our pack as well a nursing mother. She felt for us as any loving mother would. Then that’s when she pleated with Talon asking him to let her take care of us so we wouldn’t starve and dye. Talon didn’t like it at first but after a few moments made the decision to let her. He realized that this plan worked better for him then having to take care of himself. Also, would give him the proper about of time to mourn his mates with out killing His own children for crying.

As I laid there looking at the moon, I was trying to understand why The Alpha Talon all sudden felt it was time for us to live with him. Could He really care for us as much as Robert and Ember do? Because they have been here loving us and taking care of us and treating us as we were their own. Now he wants to claim us, and he hasn’t even been around. Who is this so-called Alpha that want to be called father 6 years later? Just thinking about it upset me I didn’t want to leave Lily and Ember or Robert they are my family and my parents not this Talon Darcross!

Evert and Lily where deep sleep even after dinner and have been sleeping peaceful for the past few hours. I got up and tucked them in and went to get a drink of water from the kitchen. After grabbing a glass and filling it with water, I was just about to take a sip when I heard someone crying. I put my glass down and follow the crying to Robert and Embers room. The door was cracked so I pushed it a little open to see what was going on. Robert was snoring and was in a deep sleep, as I thought to myself, now I know who Lily get it from. Then I realize it was Ember who was crying but she was asleep and having a bad dream.

In the moment a beast inside me stirred she urged me to wipe the tear from Embers face and the moment I touched the tear I was transport to this room Ember was in the corner crying and Talon had these two females tied to different tables as they screamed in pain as he took complete advantage of the both. My eyes where in complete shock and disgust as what was going on, I ran at Talon with every fiber of my body ready for the attack. However, the moment I took the swing at his head I was back in Roberts and Embers room. My hand was still on Ember cheek and as I started to take my hand back, Ember grabbed it and asked if I was ok? I just stood there with tears rolling down my cheeks not making a sound. Ember pulled me into a deep hug and held me for what seemed awhile, and then I final said, “HE IS A MONSTER…” Ember pulled away from me and really looked at me, who is she asked? Talon is especially after what he did to those two poor girls, I replied. Ember faced sobered what do mean Evolet? Well I began I saw what he did to those poor women in your dream. Ember looked at me with sad eyes you saw what only I see in this pack behind closed doors Talon has lost is self and become a hollow dark soul with no remorse  or care for others that he gets what he wants no matter the cost. He really wasn’t always like this ether when his parent where alive he was probably the most caring person in the pack. But after there where murdered and tore to shreds and his unexpected unborn sibling he didn’t even know about that really set Him on a rogue lifestyle and he has never been the same. It got worst after he found and claimed your mother and aunt, the way he treated them as if they weren’t even alive the were his playthings and only his pleasure mattered. It was so messed up you mother had so much of a warrior spirit she never gave up on try to escape this place with your aunt. Sadly, the one night the all most made it was this night both you and Evert where born. I remember helping them that night Ember said. But your aunt Taya was having bad labor pains that they had to come back.  Also, I don’t think I’ll ever forget the screams from your mother Tara as she took the punishment of trying to escape that night.

Talon was so cruel to them, after he finished his punishment to your mother, he went shower.  As my job the omega to clean up the mess. I was trying my best to heal your mother that night, but it became more dangerous because you decided it was time to greet the world the delivery went great. Your mother being the fighter she was really thought she was going to make it. I had to step away because your aunt went into labor right after you were born.  So, I left you in your mother hands as I went to help your brother be born. After Evert was safely delivered, we lost Taya and I couldn’t heal her anymore. I carried Evert over to where you and your mother where. Her breathing was light but still there. I Told her your aunt passed but had a healthy baby boy. Then your mother grabbed my hand tightly and with a determine looked in her eyes as she said “Ember no matter what Protect Evolet at all cost she is more special and more powerful then anyone really knows, keep her safe and especially away from Talon”.  She kissed you on your little forehead and told you she loved you. Then handed you to me and took her last breath.

After that I got both Evert and you cleaned up and  I let you nurse and put you down for a nap as I was cleaning and wrapping up you mother and aunt bodies that when Talon came back from his shower. He was furies to see both of his mate dead and I had to tell him they died giving birth and with their punishment and that much loss of blood was a miracle that both Evert and you were born healthy. That was also the moment I pleated for your well-being.

That morning came way to soon, after all the talking me and Ember did last night we went ahead and got up and start to make breakfast. As well as started too pack Everts and my stuff since we were moving into the pack house later today. Ember came into our room as Lily and Evert still sleeping at 7am, as I just fished packing all my belongings. She asked me if would like to go for a run?  I look at with sad eyes realizing this might be the last time I could spent time with the only mother I have known. I jumped up and hugged her tight as I looked up at her and replied I would love to Mom. Embers eyes started to tear up as she tightens her hug.  Because I am still young, I haven’t yet shift into my wolf form, but I still was a fast runner. Ember and I would normally go on morning run for my training to be quick on my feet. But todays run seemed more to be our last lesson, I couldn’t shake this feeling something bad was going to happen today. As if this is the last day, I was going to be able to see or be with Ember. We did our 10-mile run and returned home to everyone and enjoy breakfast like every other day. Two hours until noon, Robert needed to attend some pack business He hugged and kissed us all and promised to be back soon. He left Lily started to cry, Ember turned her and hugged her as she asks what’s wrong sweetie? Why do they have to leave? Why can’t they stay here with us? Lily wined. Evert sat down and look at his feet as he mumbled “yeah why can’t we stay? I really don’t want to go MOM as tears rolled down his cheek. Ember pull him off the couch to her and Lily and looked to calling to me with her eyes she hugged us all and we hugged tighter. She began I Know my love I wish you could, but Talon is your legal guardian and your bio father He has every right to take you. Not only that he is are Alpha and His word is law to us, she said wiping our tears away. We just sat there holding each other for what seem to be an hour.

Well… well what do we have here said a deep wicked voice from the door way, we all looked up to see Talon leaning in to the door frame he wore black jeans and a black tank with what looked to be blooded splattered all over it. He smelled of blood, sweat and darkness. His eye blue hinting with some red showing his wolf was close to coming out. Ember looked at the clock it was only 11:05am he was early, and her mate was not back yet. She looked back at her Alpha as she lowers her head down as she was his prey,

he payed no attention to us just her. I could smell lust, desire, and power from him. As he said, I am the Alpha I make and choose my own time. I knew the moment his wolf took control of there human form. His eyes now blood red his breathing was intensifying his lust was driving him mad. As if Ember could since it as well, she told us to stay in the living room got up of the floor and turn Talon asking if she could get him a cup of tea or water. His voice was so scary and dark when he responds with a loud NO.  That the power in his voice made Lily and Evert grab my hands tightly as the both shook in fear. I watch in horror as my stomach knotted as Talon cross the floor and grabbed Ember wrist and pulled her into the back office I jumped to my feet ready to stop this as I yelled MOM, Ember looked at me and said stay in the living room. I could see the terror and fear in her eyes as Talon slammed the door, I heard the door.  

I paced the floor back and forth, Lily and Evert watched me, and both asked in unison what should we do? I looked at my sibling know they don’t even know the half of what Talon was cable of. Lily and Evert, I said with authority in my voice go get dad now! They both looked at me stunned Go I shouted! The both took off and ran out the door. My hearing was better than I let people even know I could her Ember calmly speaking, then I heard like a crash of a vase. Then I heard a loud growl from Talon as Ember pleaded don’t please don’t I could her tear as she spoke. Talon used his all-powerful Alpha voice and thought clenched teeth say Submit to your Alpha. Ember soft voice replied no… then she screamed I ran to the door trying to unlock it with all my might and then it hit me like an uninvited guess I could smell fresh blood as Ember screamed again. Her words in pure pain she said stay in the living room… my heart raced an all I could hear were soft sobs and hard thrusting noise.  As a few mins went by walked into the living room and sat down on the couch I pulled my legs to my chest and I cried. About five minutes passed and Robert with Lily and Evert came rushing right as the clock chimed 12:00 declaring it was noon. Robert looked at me and the smelled the air with his key wolf smell he two smelled the blood as his whole body shook with rage. I jumped up and hugged on to Robert as the door unlock from the office, Talon stilled out his eyes still a hint of red. Robert stop shaking and bowed his head to his alpha. Well nice of you to join us Robert you been missing all the fun Talon teased. Robert grip on me tightened I could feel his anger, betrayal and sadness. He spoke numbly sorry Alpha I had to finish up with the contracts you assigned me. Talon smile wickedly well did you get them done he asked. Robert replied yes Alpha. Talon the final looked at me as I hugged on to Robert for support, then to Lily and final on Evert well boy time to go. As he grabbed his hand, I try to block him from touching Evert but Roberts Grip on me was strong Evert look to me the Robert he nodded to Evert follow Talon. Oh yeah, he looked at me with disgust as he said ill pick her up tomorrow morning and left dragging Evert with him after slam the door.  He let go of me and look me in the eye I could feel the sadness and I could feel he loyalty to an Alpha that didn’t deserve it. I am sorry Robert began as he hugged me, but he is our Alpha and you father. I hugged Robert as Lily looked at both us. I now know what await me in my life with my so-called Father.
