Hyko’s POV
“Ari… Ari!” I call.
She’s walking at a faster pace. I jog to catch up to her. Her face turns pale and even though I’m not holding her, I can feel her hands trembling.
I reach for her shoulder and make her turn in my direction.
Her eyes are all glued on the floor and she looks out of focus.
“M-My f-father…”
I pull her closer to me and embrace her in my arms. “Sshhh, everything’s going to be fine,” I hush.
I look at the unconscious state of her father. Good thing the medic is just near and they are all attentive. They carry him in the bed and ride the ambulance on stand-by.
“I w-want to go to t-the hospital.”
“We will.”
I snake my arm on her waist as I guide her towards my car.
