Chapter Thirteen It’s pretty weird riding around the city not thinking of his building, the clean white, the mirror-lined elevator, the painting of the nudes in the hall, and Joseph Lord. I pulled off a coup with my boss, rearranging my route so I barely touch the places I used to go. Maybe pulling everything away will make it feel as though I’ve moved to another city.
