Phoenix, Arizona The Same Early Morning As Marissa sauntered closer to the kitchen in a bathrobe, she was still sleepy and tried to keep her eyes open. The weight of her eyelids made her blink uncontrollably. She tried rubbing her eyes with her hands to wake up but even then she was so tired she didn’t really want to wake up. What she really wanted to do was walk to her mother’s kitchen on autopilot, grab something quick to eat or drink, and return to her inviting bed effortlessly as if she was sleepwalking.
