Chapter 2:An orphanage II

Lot of scream and excitement were heard, the small speaker connected to each room is only the way they could hear if they were adopted and those people will have to go back to the hall to meet with their adoptive parent, lily screamed with beam of excitement she packed her clothes with joy humming her favorite song “amazing grace” Aria could only smile and be happy for her friend but deep down she was sad.Aria followed her to the hall carrying some of lily luggage after hugging each other tightly with tears steaming from their eyes they said their peace to each other ‘’lot of joy’’. On her way back to her room after being disappointed of not being chosen not even a consideration by any of the visitor, Ethan and I are unlucky then, so I will have a new roommate since Lily has found a new home she thought.After she got to her room looking at the empty bed waiting for its new owner she slumped on her bed thinking about another day in the orphanage then drifted to sleep.Rays of sunlight woke her up, oh it’s a new day she looked at lily bed missing her company she ruffled “You don’t value what you have until you lose it’’, the bell rang brining her back to life from her thought she went to the bathroom taking her bath and wore just any cloth that fits, breakfast can be skipped but supper is necessary it’s a rule never to be broken. Just as she left her room, she met eye to eyes with Nun claws Aria froze on the spot trying to go back into her room immediately but looks like her lucky charm has exhausted.Boom Nun claws used her cane to stop her from entering into her room telling her to follow put without saying a word at that moment life seems to have end for Aria with her heart skipping every second, how she wished she never came outside this early soon enough they reached Nun claws office.After clearing the Nun cleared her voice and sat down she offered Aria a seat also she refused, just as expected it look like she was never lucky from the start , the nun started with the incident that happened at the cafeteria and gave a evil laugh saying she never overlooked it but shifted her punishment to another day because she does not want any mark on her since there are visitors and she might get adopted .After saying all those words she told the already shaking Aria that her punishment will only be within three starting from this moment she told Aria to strip without any choice she did and Nun claw gave her thirty strokes instructing her that any scream from her each of it will be five strokes added, it all ended with fifty strokes and a lot of laughter by the nun. Aria sat down on the floor not knowing what exactly she could do with her body wishing to reap out life from herself.The Nun without any pity told Aria to wear her clothes and be ready to stay in her den immediately Aria heard that she prayed for instant death. With all the strength left she took her clothes from the floor with her imbalanced leap with any minutes of assurance that she would fall. The nun just told her to enter a tall cupboard that was in her office, Aria stuffed herself inside cupboard with pains that she could do nothing about but soliloquizing wishing someone could comfort her out of the blues. All she could do in the compound was just to cry her heart out everywhere all dark not even seeing anything she started thinking about her life in the orphanage she has literally spent all her life in the orphanage according to what has been told to her , her mom dropped her at the orphanage door although she wished she could hate her cause she won’t be facing this ordeal, she wished she could stay positive but all the positivity has been beaten out of her.The door opened a cook at the cafeteria bought food for the nun, sniffing what came in Aria stomach rumbled the aroma was good looks like the nun are served the best just as she tried to adjust herself in the cupboard her body ache that she screamed, immediately the door closed the Nun opened the cupboard with her key and jerked the door open giving a stern look and commanded her to come out of the cupboard all Aria could do was crawl out and sat down beside the cupboard the nun brought her chair forward towards directly in front of Aria and started eating making her to look as she gulped all the food, after finishing it she gave Aria the plate then ushered her back to where she was before taking with her the plate to the cupboard. The night passed all that accompanied her was the aroma from the plate the nun left a day just ended. How times flies three days has completed but those days were like years to Aria. The nun opened the door in the night after supper although Aria body aches she was glad she was out of here, Just as she came out Nun’s den thinking she was free. she stood up and bowed slightly cause its mandatory this was not her first punishment. the nun sneered and told her to bring Aria cane then gave her ten stroked all that happened was a complete blackout.Aria was happy out of this world full of misery the orphanage her nightmare the end of it all , the final end she smiled happily but what a shame to die like this a way she least expected but knew that nun claw will be the end of her, still after death wraps her she felt regret that she never had to enjoy a real life of her own.
