After finishing dinner, the whole family curled up in the living room. Chester was playing cards with my siblings, while Mom and Dad sat in front of the TV. I wasn't interested in any of it. I leaned against Chester, yawning on and off. Suddenly, my phone vibrated. It was a call from an unknown number. I hesitated for a moment before answering, but silence fell on the other end of the line. I furrowed my brow and was just about to hang up when the caller suddenly spoke urgently, "Angela, don't hang up." In an instant, every hair on my body stood on end: It was Jason.
