After the girls’ meeting on the Saturday, Maja had said, “Hey. Who’s up for a night’s dancing? We’ve not been for a few weeks. I think it would do us all good.”
The girls were all up for it. About seven, Maja was kneeling on the floor in front of her makeup mirror, applying foundation and blusher. ‘Mark my words, it’s going to be Astrella,’ she said to herself inwardly. And she was right.
At tea-time on Wednesday, they still hadn’t heard back from Sally. Astrella asked if they could hold a Society Meeting. There were no objections and at seven they convened the meeting in the Lounge. Maja called the meeting to order and asked Astrella what she wanted to talk about.
