Wolves

Crystals heartbeat picked up as she realized that they had been discovered but she soon calmed it because her trainingnin had obviously been paying off. She looked towards Aiden's direction with raised brows as she was inquiring If they should reveal themselves. During that short moment, Aiden's brain had gone through all the possible solutions and their outcomes and the only one he could settle on was to come out of hiding. He figured that they could at least assess the situation they were in and whoever or whatever they were facing. He looked towards Crystal and nodded affirmatively before taking the first step out of their hiding spots. When they were out of the shrub they froze as what was before them was totally unexpected. Before them was a pack of werewolves that stretched out as far as they could see. Their large size didn't help at all as it only exaggerated their numbers. Some of them were in their human form while some were in their true form. They were mostly black, white and grey but they had tints of different colors on their fur that was supposed to differentiate them. Aiden was almost in tears as he threw the idea of using force straight out the window. There was no way out of this except sweet talking an negotiation. "Who are you guys and why are you hiding in the bush? Did the evil man send you?" A man that had the same voice as the person that spoke previously growled. He looked like he wanted to pounce on them and bite their heads off. He was somewhat short but buff. He had a handsome face like all the other werewolves in their human form but Crystal still thought Aiden was more handsome. His hair was tinted orange which Crystal assumed was that mark that all of them had. "Hey man, we aren't here to look for trouble. We were just walking on our own when we heard weird sounds so we figured we would hide behind that bush and assess our situation" Aiden said. At first, the man visibly calmed down, before he stood still and started nodding. It was clear to see that he was communicating to someone telepathically. Crystal suddenly heard voices and whispers coming from different directions. She looked towards where it was the loudest and found it to be coming from the man that spoke to them earlier. She was shocked as she wasn't supposed to hear what she assumed was their telepathic communication. Werewolves had always had the power to communicate with their kin telepathically and nobody could hear or intercept their communication. They had used it to win multiple wars against people and it made them more united than any other race. The man whose name she figured was Tim from his conversation with someone he addressed as elder became clearer when she focused on them. She knew that it was intrusive and really disrespectful but who wouldn't want to know what plans a pack of werewolves had for them. She needed to find out if they were friend or foe so she could know the best possible outcome. She has started being more in control of her powers but it always left her physically and mentally drained. She figured she would just pull out the big guns (Her powers) to deal with them. "They claim they were not sent by him but I beg to differ. That man has connections in all the races." Tim said. "I know he does but what if we kill innocent people. We have never been one to oppress the weak and we will never be." The elder said. "What a sensible and kind elder" Crystal thought. "Besides, that man is too busy to send people after us as all his men has been deployed to look for that person. I don't know who it is but I heard him say it's the chosen one or something." The elder said. Crystal was shocked as she prayed it wasn't her own chosen one as she wasn't up for trouble at the moment but the elder later went on to say it was the bringer of doom. As far as she remembered, she housed the bringer of doom so that meant they were coming for her. "Well let them come, I certainly won't back down from a fight" she thought. He then went on to persuade Tim to let her and Aiden go which he reluctantly agreed to. Tim turned towards them but narrowed his eyes once he found crystal staring at him. Crystal knew that he was suspicious of them so she moved her eyes away so he wouldn't think she was trying to spy. Not that he knew she could hear their conversations but still it was better safe than sorry. Tim stared at her for a bit before proceeding to tell Aiden that they could go but if they were found our to be spies, they would immediately be torn apart. Crystal could care less about their threats as she just wanted to leave there quickly so the man they talked about wouldn't find her here. She started thinking about all the people who could want her dead. After it all, Crystal was still in a deep thought when she felt someone's piercing gaze on her. It was rather uncomfortable as it felt like the person wanted to use their eyes to pulverize her. She turned towards the gaze and found a beautiful girl that was obviously a werewolf glaring at her with hate filled eyes. Crystal heard voices coming from the girl's head but from her conversation, it was obvious she was talking to herself. "b***h! Who is this b***h to have this handsome man that I've fallen for besides her. I will make sure to rip her head off. I'm sure she was manipulating that handsome hunk to stay with her." The girl screeched. Crystal's first move was to roll her eyes at the girl's stupidity but that was the least of her worries so she signaled to Aiden that they should go. As they had taken a few steps, a gruff and loud voice suddenly boomed. "STOP"
