Tension gripped Tierney’s neck and shoulders, and her head throbbed as she focused on her plans for the coming journey back to Grima. There was so much to do. She couldn’t focus in the quiet corner of the dining hall, where she sat alone, poring over lists. Most everyone had come and gone for the afternoon meal, but Tierney didn’t have anywhere to be.
She’d grown restless here in Vondur. Anxious to be on her way and finally taking action against the fire plains and to get herself and her friends back home. After all these months away, both in Vondur and Grima, she’d seen and heard nothing of Siobhan. She could only hope her friend never arrived in Lenya and was safely back home in Iskalt.
