Waking up in a strange place.

Angel My eyes feel like sandpaper. I have to blink several times before a full visual of the strange room comes into view. I can't help but wonder how the hell I ended up here to begin with. Bits and pieces of the of the previous night come to my mind. The memories come back unbidden and unwanted. My childhood friends, classmates, James' ex...then there was the stranger. I never did find out his name or what he looked like. I blacked out soon after he grabbed me. My cheeks heat at the memories of what I allowed that total stranger do to me. Not only did I allowed it, I welcomed it. How my body betrayed me to this nameless, faceless stranger, had my stomach in knots. He had to have been an alpha. His aura was way to strong for anything less. He had too much control. He was able to link me, even though he wasn't of our pack. Who was he and what the hell was he doing in Blue Ridge territory? My mind automatically goes to the worst case scenario. What if he was the enemy? One of the ones responsible for the attacks on our neighboring packs? The heavy tread of footsteps coming towards the door bring me from my thoughts. My heart is pounding out of my chest as I contemplate wether I should stay in place or try to escape...The footsteps get closer by the second. There is not time to get away. There are no windows and the door is the only exit. Hiding was out of the question, he was a werewolf for crying out loud! My heavy breathing and pounding heart alone would give me away. If not, he could sniff me out in a matter of seconds. I make the split second decision to get out of the bed. If whoever it was had bad intentions, the last thing I wanted was too get caught on the flat of my back. Just managing to wrestle my way out of the layers of blankets before the door knob turns. I stumble to my feet as the hinges squeak and the wooden barrier swings inward. My breath catches in my throat. I suddenly forgot what I was doing and where I was. Yep... definitely an alpha. He had to be a hybrid. Those hazel green eyes told of an unknown mixed heritage. His hair was cut perfectly in the sides with allot more length on top. Giving him a polished look, even though he had obviously just woken up. Those almond shaped eyes assessed me with a lazy appreciation. They were set over angular cheekbones and accentuated by soft, kissable lips... No..No...No...Damnit! I have a mate! I am consumed by even more guilt, the way I am ogling this complete stranger. This completely sexy, shirtless, stranger. I avert my eyes guiltily. "Can you put some clothes on, please?" He lets out a rich, sultry laugh. Not even going to mention what that sound does to my insides... "I would be glad to, If you wouldn't mind giving me my shirt back..." My gaze swings back towards him. He os looking pointedly down at my body. I follow his line of sight. Only now realizing what I am.. or rather am not wearing. Letting out a squeak of surprise, my hand absently reaches for the quilt behind me. Clawing at the bed covering and dragging it around my almost naked form. I can feel my face heating with embarrassment. Thank the goddess for my almost tan complexion. Hoping it would hide some of my embarrassment. He laughs again, making my stomach flip flop. "Why did you bring me here? The entire pack will be looking for me by now... My brother is the alpha and..." He holds up his hands in mock surrender. A knowing half smile on his too handsome face. This guy was dangerous... "Easy, tiger. I brought you here for your own protection. You were going into heat and your mate wasn't around." "Where exactly is, here?" I gesture at the room, looking a around as if the walls held all the answers. "Neutral territory. I had you sedated and stood guard until your heat passed." I feel my cheeks heating anew. All of the things he did to me before... "How do you expect me to believe that you didn't take me away from my home for your own personal needs? You could've taken advantage while I was unconscious for all I know!" I had to have struck an nerve. He took a threatening step towards me. "I wouldn't have to sedate you, princess. I could smell your arousal the second I walked in this room. You can not longer use your heat as an excuse." He is now toe to toe with me. His woodsy scent is invading my senses. His hand comes up and his strong fingers wrap around my throat. His face going into the crook of my neck to inhale deeply. "Do not lash out at me because your body craves my touch..." I try to speak, but nothing comes out but a pathetic mewl of pleasure when his lips touch the sensitive skin on the base of my neck. "You are not alone. I have been fighting the urge to take you and mark you as mine from the second I wrapped you in my arms." His canines lightly graze my marking spot. "If it wasn't for your pathetic excuse for a mate, I would already own you." "You don't even know him! I would never betray him." Tears burned the back of my eyes. I hated how this man made me feel. How easily I could be swayed to betray my other half. "From the rumors going around, It is your brother's beta. If that's the case, we've met." He knows who I am and James. It seems that I am the one at a disadvantage... "Who the hell are you, anyways?" He smiles, a little too smugly. "I am Alpha Gauge of the Crescent Moon Pack."
