Mike looked to the jockey and nodded. “Patch them in. Full audio.”

There was a brief pause as the encrypted line was established and then put on the speakers for the room to hear.
“Esteban?” It was Marcela.
“I’m here. Report.”
“The kill switch is deactivated. I repeat, the kill switch is deactivated.”
A cheer went up in the command room. Barker flashed Mike a grin, and he couldn’t help but smile as well. But then he turned to business.
“Do we have Pablo?”
“I believe so. John should have him at the safe house.”
Barker received a printout from an aide and passed it to Mike. Mike scanned it briefly.
“And Marcela, we’ve had reports in the area saying there’s been gunfire coming from the Puentes estate?”
