Author’s Note and Acknowledgements
This book is the product of a partnership my father and I share. A few years ago, Dad decided to take me on a father-son road trip to Chicago. Amidst Chicago-style pizza and Dad speaking Spanish to people in elevators, he asked if I would write him a stage play.
I am like most creative types and artists, which means I’m the worst. I have a backlog of unfinished stories, unedited creations, and plenty of notebooks filled (or unfilled) with utterly brilliant ideas. I was acting and writing amidst my university degrees and while my parents have always been supportive, they are also firm believers in hard work. They wanted to see some product.
