The not so magical life

These two girls reach the institute’s port, which is just outside the gate, via the teleporting device. They are accompanied by their bodyguards and the girls register themselves. The college has reopened after a short summer vacation.
It is a place where everyone is wearing modern clothes like jeans, skirts, shorts, tops, T shirt etc. which has a 4 year course for fairies. Cedric is here too for his sister and cousin and is attracting all the attention from fairies. The new fairies are here for admission in first year. Bella is here for second year.
Fairy academy (an all-fairy institute) is a small but spread out structure surrounded by its hostel which looks square in shape as viewed from above with a garden and walkways in between.
Total number of fairy students in this college is less than 200 so you can imagine the size of the institute. It was located deep inside the dark forest away from the city. This planet was mostly covered by mostly forests with rivers and oceans.
The hostel is actually a set of row houses (joining each other making a chain) each of two floors, surrounding the college building from all sides.
Cedric helps them set up stuff. The house has a huge living room as we enter and behind it are stairs to go up. Kitchen is to the left back after entering from main door and a bedroom to left corner which Bella took.
Rose gets the upper floor bedroom which was small but cozy. It has balcony attached to it which is equal in size to her room. She can see the college and other rooms view from her balcony.
Her bedroom window view was the dark forest. Cedric and all the bodyguards leave after sometime since bodyguards are not allowed here.
Fairy academy has a system of putting up a magical shield at night around whole college to protect itself from the dark creatures of jungle while everyone sleeps.
During daytime, the college is less likely to have any unexpected visitors crawling from the forest outside. The normal visitors and neighboring college students are welcomed with open gates.
The staff consists of fairies, mutants, satyrs, wizards and Dean Edith who was an Elf. They taught subjects like, weather manipulation, body transformation, chemistry of liquids, defense, history, Earth etc.
Rose was excited for her first day in the magical institute. Her joy turned into sorrow and her excitement turned into ashes when she was mocked down by every fairy student in her class for not knowing magic. Some were princesses, some were common girls and everyone could do magic.
They were shocked to see that she was not even able to transform into her fairy body. She cursed herself for not being able to perform magic. It was told to Rose to hide her mermaid nature. She regretted her decision to leave the castle.
“There can’t be a princess who can’t do magic but Rose, you are the one.” said Dean Edith. “You must still attend the lectures.”
She had the worst day of her life. Bella tells her to relax. Two days passed by and nothing changed! Rose kept attending lectures in a hope to learn something. She thought she may get her powers one day and she didn’t lose hope.
Next evening Bella tells her that her mutant boyfriend is finally coming to meet her. He had warrior training so was away to Nethal College but now he is back to his own institute.
Peter is a prince, student of Sanctum (Institute for super humans). These two love birds are dating each other for a year.
“I am so glad. Now everything will be fine in my life” says Bella
That night after having dinner made magically by Bella, these two princesses were gossiping about college life when suddenly their doorbell rang. Peter was here! He enters the house and hugs Bella.
Rose sees him.
Hmmm Peter is a tall, brown haired guy with eyes so deep you can see the sky. His face is round and as pretty as… “Daniel???”
“Oh my god I think I know you.” Says Rose
“Possible, your highness, I do visit Earth…”
Rose is impressed by his body language. “You were in my school. For a semester, in 8th grade you taught us Math!!!”
“Yes!!! I remember you now!
“You still look the same.” Rose is surprised.
“And you are all grown up woman not a girl anymore. I remember you from Earth. I was there for a mission like 2-2 and half years ago. Hi my real name is Peter here. Nice to meet you….again.” He shakes hands with her.
“Well that’s 8 years for me, nice to meet you too...!” Rose says.
He was the most charming and youngest professor in Rose’s school. All girls loved him and had a hugeeee crush on him. Rose liked him too but not in the way other girls did. I think I totally change my mind now.
Why is everyone here so good looking?
“That’s because pretty princesses marry handsome and good looking princes and have pretty babies” says Peter.
“Did you just read my mind?” Rose is shocked.
“Peter!!! Stop scaring her!! You just met her.” Says Bella
“No, I know her, she was my student…”
“And now she is your to-be sister in law… stop scaring her... she is already in a mess as she cannot do magic.”
“Oh yes, so she is the one everyone is talking about…princess who can’t do magic!”
Rose looks down.
“Oh my gosh!! What a co-incidence, I can’t do magic either” he says laughing
Rose smiles. “How did you know what was I thinking?”
“He is an osmosian Rose... a person who can read whatever you think or talk to yourself in your mind…….sentence by sentence! And he is prince too!” says Bella
“So… are all the guys here Osmosian?” Rose asks curiously
“No!! Sanctum has only two known...!” says Bella.
“And you will meet the other soon” whispers Peter.
“So! How are you Rose? And how is it to be a princess all of a sudden?”
Rose tells him everything. He is like a mentor to her from school and now her sister’s bf. Peter talks to her and makes her feel better while Bella is busy serving desserts to everyone on the dining table.
He gives her confidence to live here without feeling guilty and to keep trying magic. He persuades her to live happily and enjoy her life.
“Not every girl gets a life like you Rose. Live it to your fullest and don’t give a damn about what other fairies think.
He is actually here to tell them about the upcoming ‘welcome party’ on college day (which is tomorrow) arranged by the students of Sanctum for the fairies which is tomorrow.
Peter is gonna stay over tonight. After sometime, Rose goes to her bedroom to sleep.
I am so not going to the party!
