The unexpected event

“No” she replied crying.
“Oh great” saying this he sat beside her.
“Hi, I am Cedric” he said
“I am occupied?” replied Rose
“Ya! I can see that.! I can see how someone can shred useless tears”
Rose was now annoyed and turned to see the guy beside her. He was wearing yellow hoodie, black t-shirt and blue jeans.
Oh f**k! Is this guy real? Is he a model or something? And he is so good looking. Charming indeed! Also he has got brown eyes just like me but that doesn’t give him the right to be rude to me and also ACT NORMAL ROSE!
“Excuse me..!! Useless tears?” Rose said in an angry tone.
“Yes, indeed. Look I have been trying to talk to you since long but you are never alone, always with your annoying bff. Now that she’s not here, I would like to talk to you.”
“I am sorry, do I know you?” Rose asks.
“Well no, but I know you, we all know you.”
“What do you mean?”
He moved a bit towards Rose and said, “Listen to me very carefully. I am about to tell you something which may be shocking and you may not believe in it but just try to listen. I am Prince Cedric from Knightland Kingdom and I am here to take you with me. You belong to my world- The world where I come from. You don’t belong here."
"So you are saying there is life beyond Earth?"
"Yes, on many planets and I am from one of those. I am here to take you with me."
“Is this some sort of prank… or did you just propose me? Are you kidnapper?" Rose asks this looking at the two bulky body guard type people standing behind him.
“Absolutely not! If I wanted to abduct you, I would have already. But no, I am your brother and ….”
*** Glass breaking noise**
So my life already sucks, and my crush is marrying my cousin and this hot guy talking to me, says he is my brother! Great!
“Can it get worst?” She asks herself.
Cedric says, “Worst? You are the princess of our kingdom and you think this is worst?”
“Wait what?” Says Rose to which Cedric replies,” Are you even listening to me? I said, you are Princess of a kingdom far off and you don’t belong to here. Just in case you are wondering, your surname is Woods! You are Rose Woods.”
Rose thinks this is some sort of prank played on her. She says, “Oh sure, I am a princess... why not?”
Cedric,” you think this is funny? Do I look like I am not joking? I was told to bring you home as our father awaits.”
Rose melts here when she hears the word ‘father’ and she judges him. His accent was nice and his words seemed royal. Also he DID look like a prince.
This could be a set-up though. But who would do it and why?
“My parents died when I was a kid. Stop lying to me.”
“Those weren’t your real parents. I handed you over to them, they were nice people.”
Rose is all confused now.
Cedric continues, “Look I do not know how to convince. I have never needed this sort of skill, but I was told to get you back home and that is why I am here.
“Tell me more” she says, “about your world”.
“You mean about our world. Sure! We belong to a planet named Gloria of Andromeda galaxy, as humans know it, which is practically 2.5 light years away from Earth. It is five times bigger the size of Earth and it cannot be seen from here as you know. Our sun is called the Alpha and Gloria has three moons which are Rigel, Ragus and Roran. The atmosphere on our planet is very similar to here with variations in physical and geographical parameters. We have 17 seasons there which are a combination of Earth’s two or more individual season. But the lifestyle as I can see is very much modern on Earth. We live in a different time period of kings and kingdoms.
“You mean you have no development?”
“We do have advance science systems which enable us to teleport, travel in space and so on, but we follow monarch system.”
He continues, “Gloria is inhabited by super humans, fairies, elves, witches, wizards, mermaids and many more. The Elves are the superior beings who are immortal. Below that we have super humans or mutants (male equivalent of human species) and fairies (female equivalent of human species) who are kings, queens, princes and princesses. Subsequently we have humanoids and cross species.
The aqua world has mermaids and mermen who are isolated from our world and are not allowed on the land. This was the saintly part but we also have a dark side too. The dark side has witches and wizards who possess dark magic and fight for the eternal evil forces that lurk in the dark forests. They can be good too but they usually are compromised.
There is evil residing in few places which is formless who can make anyone its host when it possesses adequate power through sacrifice. There is no balance between the good and the evil.
The mutant or warrior princes and fairy princesses have to sole duty to protect their kingdom from the dark warriors and the rest. The dark forces keep disturbing our world. The evil believes that dark magic should rule every living planet and keeps on possessing people of our side turning them into villains who go against us.
"Earth is safe because it’s very far.”
“Is this the reason why I am here?” asks Rose.
But to her surprise, he says, no.
“Father wanted to save you from our uncle Liam.”
“Uncle Liam?” Rose said in confused tone.
“Our uncle had no child so he tried to abduct you as the heir to his kingdom. You were a cute baby and second child so…”
“And our mom?” asks Rose.
“She is no more” Cedric grieved.
“If what you say is true, why didn’t you come earlier?” She asked.
“We needed years to find you Rose. In the battle with our uncle, we thought our kingdom will burn down because he attacked us with all his power and your safety was important. We needed 6 years to find you. We had no idea of your exact location.”
“I am 20” Rose said in a harsh tone.
“Ya sure! Time runs differently for us.”
“And you aren’t human right?”
“I am actually super human!”
“Can you prove it?”
Cedric shows her, his hand which ignites and sets itself on blue fire. He blows air on it from his mouth and that blue fire dies instantly without much effort.
Rose is impressed. “What do you want from me again?”
“I want you to come with me and claim what’s yours. Everyone is waiting for you.”
“But why you? I mean you are the prince yourself, according to you. Why you had to come here all by yourself to get me?”
“Darling do you really think you would have listened to anyone else but the prince himself? Take your time and think on this. I promise nothing will happen to you.
You have my word. Your safety is everything for me. And I will drop you back if you don’t want to stay there. You just have to say yes.”
He got up and started leaving. Rose stood up too. Before leaving he said, “Think about it. I will come back tomorrow.”
He left.
Rose stood clueless as he opened a portal from his cell phone type device, walked into it along with those two bodyguards and disappeared. Rose is shocked to see that. Am I dreaming or hallucinating? This can’t be true.
She thought a lot about it that night. What if all this is a set up? But what if he isn’t? I think I should give it a try. I mean I am a princess. It’s like every girl’s dream. What if this is the change I have been waiting for my entire life. I really must go. And also, I’ll take my phone with me so I can call for help whenever I want.
Next day she skips college again and goes to the same place. He is already waiting for her with four such bulky guys. “So I guess it’s a yes.” He says mischievously. “Let’s give it a try!” she replies and he opens the portal in the same way. “After you”
“But wait…will I be able to do magic there?”
“You mean you can’t do magic here?”
“Am I supposed to be able to?”
“Yes”
“I can’t do magic.”
“Talk to father about this”.
