Macy
Time passed by so fast and it was time to wish farewell to Micha as he had just finished basic. He could not come home on leave before they were to catch the plane that would take him to California to fly into Afghanistan. He found out they would station him close to Jace’s unit and he could contact him. Every time Jace’s name was mentioned since my turning, I felt a pull or a longing to see him again. I hoped he could join in on at least one of my and Micha’s Skype calls while he was there. I just wanted a glimpse of those beautiful eyes, one more time.
Every day I had to hear Mona go on and on about how she was writing him, and he was writing her back when he could, it would make my wolf Aria growl and want to rip her head off. I know this was a strange reaction, since I had only met him once and I did not even have my wolf then. Why would I get so jealous of other girls talking to him?
Mona and her “girls” were a pain in my side. They were what you call the mean girls of the group. I remember when we were younger, Mona used to make fun of me because I did not have a mother. One time, Micha overheard her picking on me and stepped in to take up for me. To say I did not like her was an understatement. Eden and I used to say her and her crew have watched every movie about mean girls and tried to act like them. People act like they like her just so they don’t get on her bad side. I know she has a crush on Micha, so once he stood up for me, she only picks on me from afar. She does not want to be on his bad side. I know she is holding out hoping Micha will be her mate, but I hope if it is her he will reject her. Now it seems like she has eyes for Jace, well I will have to nix that one.
I kept in constant contact with Sarah; I found out she did not have any family, since a rogue attacked her last pack and killed all the pack members except the few that escaped. She was one of the youngest women in her pack to be a warrior and was second in command for all the young warriors in training that had not gotten their wolfs. I met her when she came here to Magnolia Moon pack, but don’t know her very well, since she had only been here a couple of weeks before she was deployed. She seems really nice and I hope when she returns we can remain good friends. She is only 20, so she has only had her wolf for 2 years, and now will be overseas with no family to worry about her. I told my dad and brothers about her and told them we needed to make sure she was taken care of when she returned. Of course, my dad and Eden’s dad already knew her since she had to be sworn into our pack when she arrived, a rogue looking for help and shelter since her attack.
I write to her once a week and have gotten letters back. She is in the medical clinic and busy all the time. I know sometimes it’s nice just to have a friendly word from home every once in a while. I have learned so much about her. She likes to work out, she loves sunflowers and to take her time to enjoy life. She was the youngest child of her family and when the rogues attacked she fought to help save the little kids in their pack.
She was not the only one in her pack that survived, just in her family. When she showed up in the pack, she came with the former young Luna. Luna Stacy was 22 and had only been mated for 6 months but was expecting her first pup soon. She had just found out the morning of the attack and had not even had time to tell her mate he was going to be a father before he passed. Sarah, asked me to watch out for her and make sure she was doing okay. I'll have to make a note to look her up.
That night, I got a call from Micha. He was telling us that he landed safely and they were checking in on their bunks. He did tell us that Skype calls and face-time would be limited since they had bad connections most of the time. I told him he needed to look up Sarah while he was there and check on her since she was part of our pack and all. He said he would check her out. I just hope he doesn't have to see her as a medic!
