Mia was waiting for the comment as she approached Alpha Nate, who was waiting in the middle of the training field. Though she knew what she would see, she looked down at herself and grimaced. There were grass and mud stains on her joggers from where she had tackled Meghan, and her top was splashed with water from rushing to get all the bowls cleaned after dinner. In short, she looked like a mess and Nate would know that whatever had happened had been after he grabbed his dinner from her. Not only was it embarrassing to tell an Alpha wolf that, at twenty years old, she was rolling on the floor with her friend, but this particular Alpha would press to know why and there was no way she’d tell him.
