“Good work today.” Meghan slapped Mia’s butt making her jump. She turned and scowled at her friend, but she was already walking away from the training area, waving over her shoulder. “See you at dinner.”
Mia flipped her off, but an easy grin spread across her lips as Meghan called her on it without turning around. It meant tomorrow's training would be hell, but it was worth it. Wiping the sweat from her brow, Mia gathered her things and shouted her goodbyes to the other fledglings before heading off.
