The couch was comfortable, the room was warm and Alpha Marcus was being as soothing as possible as he sat across from her, and yet Mia still felt the first prickles of unease stirring within. She sat rigid, unable to relax back into the cushions and, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t stop her hands from fidgeting in her lap.
