Hana POV

It was long past noon when Hana finally stirred from her sleep. She blinked the weariness from her eyes, squinting at the clock beside her bed. A rush of panic swept through her when she realised that she had almost slept through the day. She jumped up and tore into the bathroom to get ready. She had told Sam earlier that she wanted to spend the day in bed, but she didn’t really mean it. A couple of hours extra sleep would have been plenty, not a full eight hours. Through the foaming of toothpaste around her lips, she cursed, feeling the stirring of guilt in her stomach. Today was the day the pack were preparing for her birthday, and she had left them with all the work. It wasn’t fair and she was determined to help in some way.
