“Oh, my God!” I froze for a moment. My heart pounded in my ribcage.
Piper had the same reaction as I did. Her green eyes were wide, staring at the image on the laptop screen, mocking us that we didn’t figure it out soon enough. Her fingers gripping around my wrist tightened. “Oh, my God, babe. We cracked it.”
“That doesn’t mean anything, right?” I still denied it, shaking my head. “This is impossible.”
“Babe, you can’t deny the evidence before you.” She was right, but that didn’t prove anything that this person wanted me kidn*pped, gone, or dead.
