Freddie actually shows up to Institute this week, our Thursday YSA Bible study. He’s half an hour late, but he’s here. He sends me a smile and takes the last open seat by Emma at the end of the semicircle. He whispers something to her that makes her stifle a giggle. I try to just focus on our teacher, discussing the Savior’s counsel on false prophets. Freddie starts nodding along, seeming to really take the lesson seriously.
