Chapter 11

“The plan worked perfectly” Holly excitedly told Belle in the school cafeteria the next day. “He bought the whole story and honestly, I should win an Oscar for those fake tears.”

“You go girl. I knew you could do it if you applied yourself.” Belle giggled and clapped in delight.

“The look on his face when he turned around… it looked like he wanted to gobble me up there and then.”

“Shame he didn’t,” chimed in Belle.

“It got his attention for sure. But he still didn’t lay a finger on me. We need to think of something else to finally push him over the edge.” Holly mused.

“Well you could always try getting naked and sneaking into his bed at night. Im sure he won't be able to resist that.” Belle suggested, arching her eyebrow.

“I could, but I want him to want to do it, not just by accident. If I don’t make sure he's in it as much as me, he could back out at any time. Or worse, regret it the next day. No, I need something to make him confront the issue.”

Belle and Holly ate their lunch, continuing to think of ideas. Out of the corner of her eye, Holly saw Alex walk into the cafeteria.

“Ive got it!” Holly exclaimed excitedly, jumping up from her seat. “I’ll be right back.”

Holly rushed over to where Alex was sitting with the rest of the football team.

“Hey Alex, do you have a second?”

Alex turned to look at her, “So you do remember my name. And here is me thinking you had forgotten all about me.”

Holly flushed pink, “I’m sorry. I’ve had a lot on my mind recently.”

Holly began to back away and Alex followed her, away from the noise and the stares of the football team.

“So I was thinking, do you want to come over tonight? We could try and watch that movie again.” Holly asked shyly.

Alex absent mindedly started ruffling his hair, “Tonight? Are you sure your Dad won’t be around?”

“Yer, he’s working late tonight. We will have the place all to ourselves,” Holly replied looking down at her feet. “So you’ll be there tonight?”

“Looking forward to it” Alex smirked at her.

Holly walked back over to Belle, grinning from ear to ear. She sat back down next to her and finished her lunch.

“If this doesn’t work, I have no idea what will.”
