Chapter Ten

Jae Hee's Pov

Everyone had gathered in the living room, we were discussing about our plans for tonight during the Gayo Dajoon concert.

"There's a possible chance the vampires will attack tonight." Said Suho.

As the leader, he felt like it was his responsibility to keep everyone safe, mainly because he blamed himself for not being able to protect Luhan and D.O when they were attacked and admitted to the hospital.

"The only thing we could do is keep our guards up, we don't know what shenanigans they will pull next," Kai continued.

I worried for my sake and for theirs, I had no supernatural powers, I was just a normal human being and there was absolutely nothing I could do to help.

My hands trembled unconsciously as I rubbed my index finger and trying to keep myself calm. "I'm a little scared." I said, super worried.

Right next to me was Lay who noticed my trembling hands. He put his arms around me and reassured me with a smile, "We'll be on our guard the whole night. They won't be able to touch you, I swear."

As much as I was relieved to hear him say that, part of me was still worried about what would happen tonight.

But I didn't want him or the others to worry, I flashed him a smile and looked at the others.

I was truly grateful to have them there with me.

"Okay guys, keep your eyes open for anything suspicious. They are capable of hiding their presence so there's no way of knowing where they could be hiding." Suho warned them with some information regarding the vampires.

There was no way I'd let them do all the work, I might not have a superhuman strength like these guys, but I have the eyes of a hawk, if I see anything or anyone suspicious I'd know right away.

We can't loose our precious lives over this. We have to survive---

After we ended the meeting, we got ready for the show. We still had 6 hours before the show and Manager-nim came by to pick us up, we were told to come by the studio before heading to Gayo Dajoon.

I was on my way to my room when Luhan grabbed my arm, stopping me at the door frame.

I fixed my eyes on him but he wasn't saying anything which left me utterly confused.

"Um Luhan, what are y-" I was about to ask him what was he doing when he strapped something on my wrist, I looked closely at it which apparently turned out to be a golden-blue bracelet. It was incredibly beautiful!

I've never seen this kind of design before---

"What's this?" I examined it closely.

Luhan tapped the small screen attached on the strap of the bracelet. "It's a tracking device that was designed to look like a bracelet. It signals your current whereabouts. I'm afraid we can't watch over you 24/7 so this bracelet is really necessary if something goes wrong."

I stared at his face and was a little nervous to see how serious he was being which bring shivers down my spine.

Knowing the fact that there was a possibility that something might happen to me terrified me to the core.

Luhan continued, "Whatever you do, don't take it off, understand?"

I nodded, he sounded really scary, I almost pissed my pants but of course I wouldn't do DO that in front of him.

He patted my arm, turned around and was about to walk away but I grabbed his hand to stop him, he looked at me with his eyebrow raised.

"Um, are we ever going to talk about that time?" I felt my face flushed as I asked him that.

"That time?"

"Yeah, that time where you...kissed me."

I intended to forget about the kiss we shared on the rooftop but for some reason I just couldn't seem to let it go.

He went quiet for a minute before speaking his mind, "I'm sorry that was rude of me to force a kiss on you. Actually we have this fetish and desire that we can't get rid of. It comes and go especially when we're near attractive women, so when I saw how beautiful you look that day I couldn't stop myself from kissing you."

A fetish and desire they can't resist? Does that mean...

"So whenever this desire of yours occurs, you won't be able to control yourself from jumping to any woman? How many times have you done it? No wait, are you even still a virgin?"

I didn't know what got over me but I suddenly felt a pain in my chest and my cheeks burning up, I curled my hands into a fist as I felt myself trembling and Luhan being quiet didn't help either.

For some reason I felt my tears threatening to fall but I resist the urge to cry especially not in front of him. I wipe a tear at the side of my eye before looking at him with a face I've never shown him before.

"Let's forget that kiss ever happened. In fact, let's forget about everything that happened between us and start over. This time, we'll get to know each other WITHOUT kissing."

I said my final piece before turning around and walked into the bedroom. Chanyeol and Baekhyun were there getting ready to go to the studio, they put hold on whatever they were doing and looked at me.

Baekhyun started questioning, "Hey are you okay? You look pale." Chanyeol was worried too as he walked towards me and placed a hand on my shoulder, "What's wrong?"

I didn't want them to know what was wrong with me and show them this weak side of mine so instead of releasing more tears, I flashed them a smile instead and said with a cheerful tone, "Nothing! I'm just really nervous about tonight that's all, haha."

I could see doubts in their eyes but I kept on smiling to show them I was fine even though I wasn't.

Chanyeol sighed and smiled as he patted my shoulder, "Alright, you better get ready quick. Manager-nim's going to be here soon."

I nodded and went to get my stuff ready. For now, I have to forget about Luhan and think about our problem at hand. I have a feeling the vampires won't rest until they get what they want.

(6:20p.m.)

We came straight to Gayo Dajoon from the studio, our producers, composers, dance instructor and the other staffs wanted to make sure everything was ready for tonight and that there won't be any technical problems with the songs.

We also had a last minute practise in case we get too nervous and forget the steps, especially me.

Manager-nim stopped the RV in front of the Gayo Dajoon building where there was a red carpet waiting to greet our arrival.

As soon as we stepped out, fans were screaming wildly and shouting our names. I was a bit happy to hear some of them calling my name too, it made me realized that all the hard work I put in these past months weren't a complete waste.

I took a deep breathe and cleared my thoughts as I took each steps down the red carpet with a smile on my face, there was a lot of photographers here taking our pictures and a lot of reporters too.

Chanyeol was walking beside me while waving to the fans, he looked like a real professional which made me admire him more.

Anyway, some fans apparently 'shipped' me with Chanyeol, they called us Jayeol or JayChan which was pretty cool to be honest. I, myself shipped me with Chanyeol because why not?

While walking to the building, Chanyeol went closer to me and whispered, "See anyone suspicious?"

"No, I don't see anyone." I shook my head a bit as I scanned among the crowds of people for anyone suspicious.

"Jay-ah," Suho stood at my other side while still smiling at the fans so they wouldn't suspect anything.

"Yeah?" I didn't bring my head up to look at him instead I looked down at his shoes.

"Make sure to stay close to us, alright? I have a bad feeling." He kept the volume of his tone as low as he could.

I gulped after hearing him say that, "Okay."

When we were about to enter the building, I turned my head to look at the crowds once more, that was when I saw someone wearing a black cape and a hoodie covering his face.

I was frozen on the spot and I felt my breathing getting heavier, I couldn't break my eyes away when Chanyeol placed his hand on my shoulder. "Jay, are you alright?" He asked, worried.

"Y-yeah, I'm alright." I smiled and looked back at where the black hooded man was once standing but he was no where in sight. He disappeared into thin air.

Did I see it correctly? Or was it just my imagination?

But imagination or not, it gave me the chills---

Once we entered the building, there were more fans inside and more reporters taking pictures of us, in the middle of the room stood a small stage with 3 other celebs as the MC.

Before going up on stage, we stood in a line to get our pictures taken, we did 3 kinds of poses before grabbing the mics that the staff gave us and went up the stage to say our greeting and answer to the MC's questions.

Man the questions they threw at us were no joke and believe me I so want to tell u readers about it but I'd rather not---

Anyway, other idols were arriving and so we had to cut our interview short. We said goodbye to the MCs and the fans and walked into the main hall where the concert was held.

We sat on the empty seats at the second row, the seats on the first row had Girls Generation and Beast sitting close to each other.

Yoona sunbaenim waved to me as soon as she saw me, I knew she was a friendly person but I didn't know she was this friendly with guys (Even though I'm originally a girl). I smiled and waved back at her before going to my own seat which surprisingly was right behind Yoona sunbaenim's seat.

I looked around me and was amazed to see all these good looking celebrities around me, I could never compete with them.

While I was in my own world, Sehun who was sitting on my left side spoke up, "Looks like they're not planning t won'to attack."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Replied Suho who was sitting beside Sehun, "This is probably a trick to make us think they won't do anything."

Suho hyung has a point, I mean considering the time and place, this was a perfect opportunity for them to take action, I found it hard to believe they wouldn't do anything.

"Just don't let your guards down," Suho continued.

"He's right. We need to keep our eyes open at all times," said Luhan who was sitting beside Chanyeol----Chanyeol was sitting on my right side by the way.

Luhan and I locked eyes with each other for a split second before I looked away, for some reason my heart beat was pounding really hard.

Why was I like this?

This was not the right time and place, I should be keeping my eyes out on those vampires, I shouldn't be thinking about this.
