Chapter Seven

Jae Hee's Pov

(Next morning)

We were told to gather in the practice room where we were greeted by all of the SNSD sunbaenims.

Manager-nim told us that we were gonna have a special stage with SNSD sunbaenims in the upcoming Gayo Daejun.

The members; Kai, Chanyeol, Luhan, and Tao were partnered up with Sunny sunbaenim, Yoona sunbaenim, Tiffany sunbaenim and Seohyun sunbaenim while I was partnered up with Taeyeon sunbaenim.

The members who were partnered up will be doing the second special stage together while the first special stage, all of us will be performing together including the other members who weren't partnered up.

After discussing the plans for the special stages, we started practising the choreography for the dances together with the SNSD sunbaenims.

To be honest, it was tiring but I had a lot of fun. The sunbaes were really nice and Taeyeon sunbaenim was especially nice to me since she was my partner.

She helped me a lot and because I was lacking in different aspects, she made some notes and pointed out my mistakes and what I needed to fix---It was really helpful.

4 hours later, we had to say goodbye to SNSD sunbaenims due to their other schedule, we took about 1 hour of rest before going back to practise, this time we practised our own songs.

Once again Suho hyung was showing me how to dance and sing properly because I was still lacking when it came to singing and dancing at the same time. Baekhyun was sitting on the floor and resting against the mirror while playing with his phone.

"There's the part where you're hitting a high note right? I think it's better if you come up to the front and make little hand gestures before you hit the note. You don't have to dance because you're going to be extremely tired while you're performing so if you hit that note and dance at the same time, you're going to be out of tune," he explained.

I nodded my head as I listened to him carefully, memorizing and implanting each words into my head.

He continued, "So it's better if you move a little here and then hit the note. Okay?" He lifted up a hand and showed me the okay sign.

I nodded again and showed the okay sign back to him. We began dancing to the song until the part where I had to reach the high note came. I did exactly what Suho hyung told me to do, I came up to the front, did a little hand gestures before hitting the note.

It was still unstable---

"I'm so sorry, I don't know why I can't hit it." I rested both hands on my waist and let out irritated sighs, brushing my front hair to the back.

"Hey, don't worry. You're just getting used to it, and besides you did better than before. If you keep practising, I'm sure you'll get it in no time." He smiled as he patted my shoulder, I smiled back at him.

Suddenly someone barged into the room, "How's my little Jae Hee doing!" It was Chen, obviously. I rolled my eyes playfully then laughed.

The other members followed behind him except Luhan---he was no where in sight but I didn't think too much of it.

Among them was Chanyeol, he was wearing a blue jacket, navy shorts and a black hat. He stared at me and I stared back at him.

I didn't realize how long I was staring until Suho placed a hand on my shoulder, I broke the eye contact and looked at Suho, "Huh?"

"Are you okay?" He asked.

I smiled and nodded, "Yeah I'm fine. Just a little tired."

"Then why don't you go and take a break while we practise? You've been practising for 2 hours, you need to rest that bony legs." Kai joked but he was being considerate of my well-being.

I laughed and replied, "Alright. I'm just going to take a quick break if you don't mind."

"Go. Get out of here and don't let me see you for the next 1 hour." Suho lectured but I could feel his sincerity and his concerned for me.

"Alright alright." I bowed to them before getting my stuff and walked out of the room.

Since I got 1 hour of rest, I decided to come up to the roof and get some fresh air, what I didn't expect was to find the person I least expected to see here.

It was Luhan---he was sitting against the wall with his earphones plucked into his ears, everything around him was rather peaceful. The sleeping Luhan looked more friendly to be honest.

I debated whether to wake him up or not because the members were looking for him earlier but they couldn't find him.

When I came to a conclusion; which was to leave him alone, I turned around and was about to walk away when a familiar voice spoke.

"You're leaving just like that?"

He startled me, I thought for sure that he'd be mad at me for ruining his beauty sleep. I turned around to face him and managed an awkward smile as I tried to find the right words to say to him.

In the end, I kept staring at his face, studying his every features from his beautiful long eyelashes to his cherry colored lip balm and then the event of last night flashback in my head.

Thinking about last night got me to tremble unconsciously because I couldn't get the expression he had on his face out of my head.

"Are you going to stand there all day or are you going to come here and sit with me?" He asked.

I broke out of my thoughts and raised an eyebrow, "Huh?"

I definitely did not expect him to say that but it definitely calmed me down a little though I was still afraid that I would accidentally trigger something in him just like last night.

He patted the floor next to him, waiting for me to take a seat. I bit my lips and slowly made my way towards him and carefully sat just an inch away from him.

Everything suddenly turned quiet, I glanced at him and bit my lower lips before I decided to start talking again, "What are you listening to?"

"The song for our special stage."

"Can I hear it too?" I wasn't thinking when I asked that, after I realized what I had just said, I slapped my mouth and facepalmed at my sudden courage.

He thought for a while before giving me one side of his earphones, I was relieved that he didn't think much of it, I took the earphone and stick it into my ear.

We listened to the song without uttering another word, to tell you the truth I really enjoyed this comforting atmosphere, it made me calm and I was able to relax after so long.

Everything was peaceful and quiet until he spoke, "Hey." I could feel his hot breath against my ear, I tensed up as I didn't dare to look at him. My heartbeat was pounding really hard against my chest.

"I'm sorry..."

I frowned as I tried to understand what he meant by that. I bit my lips and asked, "For what?"

"This."

I could see from the side of my eyes that he was getting closer but I didn't know what he was going to do and frankly? I had a really slow reflex.

Without giving me any sort of warning, Luhan kissed me---on the freaking lips!

My eyes widen at this sudden intimacy.

Why???? When did I give him a wrong signal!? Oh my gosh!

I was too shock to move, all I could do was sit still until it was all over.

(At night)

It was already 11:05 pm, two more days to go until Gayo Daejun.

We were all gathered in the living room because Manager-nim suddenly decided to drop by.

"Is everyone here?" He asked as he scanned the whole room, he was carrying a really huge box. Everybody was curiously looking at it including me.

"What is that?" Asked Kai as he moved his head closer to the box.

Manager-nim smiled and tore opened the box, he held up a red and white t-shirt together with a red and white jacket.

"These are your outfits for the concert. Take care of the outfits and don't ruin them, understand?"

Our cheers filled up the whole room, we were super excited to get new outfits and as for me, this was my first time to get outfits like these.

Everybody had their names and numbers printed on the back, mine read Jay and my number was 25 (my lucky number).

I looked at my name on the shirt and felt tears threatening to fall, I didn't know why but I just felt happy. I still couldn't believe this was real.

"So Jae Hee, how does it feel to have your very own EXO outfit?" Chen held up a comb and pretended to interview me, it was the same comb he was using before Manager-nim came over.

I chuckled with a few tears trickling down my cheeks, "I feel really happy. Really really happy!" I said as I looked back at my Exo outfit, Sparks started flying out of my eyes.

The members all laughed at how happy I was which was a little embarrassing to be honest, haha.

(12:40 am)

It was around midnight I heard something from outside the room, I was sleeping peacefully and dreaming about winning a lottery to a free pizzas when a crash woke me up.

I immediately got out of bed, my heart was beating really hard, I looked at my two roommates who were fast asleep. I guess I'm the only one who heard the noise.

Not forgetting to grab a weapon; a hanger I found near my bed to arm myself with, I carefully walked out of the room constantly reminding myself not to make a sound. It could be a burglar or worse a killer!

I gulped twice as I made my way to the kitchen, I tightened my grip around the hanger and looked through the door of the kitchen, there was no one in there.

Although I was half scared and part of me wanted to run to Chanyeol or anyone and wake them up but I didn't want to ruin their beauty sleep so I gathered my courage and walked straight into the room.

I was ready to swing the hanger at whoever was in the kitchen, but as soon I looked behind the kitchen counter in the middle of the room, I gasped and dropped the hanger onto the floor.

My eyes widen as I saw who it was---Kyungsoo was lying unconscious on the floor, I looked closer and noticed he was using his hand to cover up a wound on his lower left abdomen.

"Kyungsoo!" I kneeled down and put my head on his chest to hear his heartbeat, thank God his heart was beating but it was beating really slow, he was slowly losing his life and I didn't know what to do.

I checked his wound and it looked like a bite mark, more like a wolf bite? What?

Kyungsoo started groaning in pain, I stood up and grabbed a towel and soaked it in warm water before kneeling back down and pressed the towel onto his wound, there was blood everywhere on the floor.

"Ugh!" He screamed when the towel made contact with his wound. Tears started welling up in my eyes as I didn't know what to do, I began to panic.

Then I heard somebody else's voice and it came from outside. The voice became clearer and clearer and it sounded familiar to my ears.

I looked back at Kyungsoo and said in a gentle voice, "I'll be right back. Keep putting pressure on your wound."

He didn't respond but did as he was told. I stood up and ran out the back door of the kitchen. No one was there but I heard noises coming from the backyard.

I walked slowly to the backyard and saw a body laying on the ground. I ran to it and turned the body around to look at who it was and to my surprised, it was Luhan.

His body was really hot, I shouted for help because I knew I couldn't lift him up by myself but nobody heard me so I had to try and carry him on my own or he would freeze to death out here.

I sling his arm around my neck and carefully lifted him up, because of his body weight I was forced to walk slowly.

When I got back into the house, I saw Suho running into the kitchen looking very concerned. I felt my body becoming weaker and that I was slowly losing conscious.

"What happened?" Suho hurried to my side and took Luhan's arm off of me so he could carry him himself.

"Jae Hee, are you alright? You look really pale. Why don't you go and have a rest." Suho said to me, I could hear the concern in his tone. I shook my head 'no', I didn't want to let them out of my sight.

Kris appeared soon after and looked at all of us, "What the hell is going on here? What happened to him?"

I pointed to the floor behind the counter, "Kyungsoo is wounded." I had a hard time pushing those words out because I was still in shock.

"What?" Kris wasted no more time as he ran to Kyungsoo's aid.

Not long after, the rest of the members gathered around, Chanyeol noticed my condition and so he carried me to the couch and placed a warm towel on my forehead, "You're going to be alright, Jae Hee."

I heard Kai on the phone, he was calling the ambulance which they arrived 15 minutes later, they carried Kyungsoo and Luhan on the stretcher and gently laid them down in the ambulance car. Some of the members went with them and some stayed back.

I lost consciousness after that---
