Anacá Dinner was bearable after his dad’s little reminder. I could feel the power he wielded over everyone present here, including Eros. After dinner, he declined the dessert I offered him. It hurt me, but I preferred hiding my feelings. “Dad has diabetes. He stays away from sugary treats.” Eros leaned in to whisper. It cheered me up again.
